That's a negative here as well. Nothing registering at the Explorers' Base when I check in. I've been monitoring the two Magellan-detection devices when I'm there. I need to remember to wear the decoder ring that Mari made, so I can scan for him when I'm out and about. I'll be on the look out this weekend while I take care of some things in the forest.
p.s. I'm stuck in Bodega this morning what with the Grid borders closed.. better make the best of it!

From: Marianne McCann Not here. I really have been expecting him to show up around the party an stuff, at least around the time capsules or something -- but so far, nothing. Isn't there a Linden exhibit with most of their pictures at SL5B? /me digs around for that picture of the airship with the mysterious person in the foreground..

Blimey! I'd forgotten my ring (sorry Mari!). I'll wear that from now on as well.
Maybe we should send a note to M Linden asking if he would, as the new boy, ask around for us.

The mystery deepens! Looks like perhaps he was one of the early Bay City residents or developers, there to meet the airship and/or see it off... do ordinary people have access to the top of those towers? Colton Linden has one of the coolest avs ever... and I'd love to know what his rendering score is.

I don't recall it, but I do remember checkint it at the most recent explorer's meeting. I know I've been up at the top of the airship tower, but I have a tendency to get into places where I'm not really s'posed to be.

From: Salazar Jack Is this the one you're talking about? That's exactly the one I was thinking about! TY! Now I just need to get outta work and take a trip back to the Linden exhibit at SL5B and see if I can match it with one of the Linden pictures. Or maybe get a list of candidates on who it might be in that picture..

I don't think Lindens appear on scanners, somehow.... they're shielded against it in some way. At one of my previous homes, I once had a Linden hanging around AFK for some time, and afterward he didn't appear at all on my visitor list. Hmmm!

At one of my previous homes, I once had a Linden hanging around AFK for some time, and afterward he didn't appear at all on my visitor list. Hmmm! Some of the explorers had done some research into this a while back, when the Magellan-detection devices were first being prototyped, and there seemed to be a difference between being able to detect a Linden nearby and simply detecting whether they were on the Grid or not. I think the Lindens can cloak certain aspects of their presence info, similar to what Grandma Thetan devised for us with the original gini, but they can still be detected as being on the Grid "somewhere" with special scripting. Of course that can be spotty as we've seen with trying to Search for Magellan in the All, People and Old All Search tabs p.s. See this post for Ayumi's notes on the matter... /327/34/248406/14.html#post1957045

Apparently an empty ding-dong wrapper makes a good cloaking device

Or maybe get a list of candidates on who it might be in that picture.. Except for the hair being a bit off (which is a big 'except') Jay is the most obvious match.. Her picture is right next to Jacks and Jack is either a LIER agent or a somebody who does work for them.

Has Magellan Been Exploring Other Grids?
07-08-2008 12:57
Does anyone know if Magellan was involved with this experiment? http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/07/08/ibm-linden-lab-interoperability-announcement/I didn't see him mentioned in the post, nor did I see him in the associated footage. I wonder if he has been working with the Lab to research this new technology?

From: SuezanneC Baskerville When you enter Hacked Godmode and look at a person's profile you have several options on the profile, Kick, Freeze, Unfreeze, and CSR.
What is CSR?
Clicking on it takes you to an Authorization Required web page. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_RolesIt seems that Teresa Linden is the only one tagged with "CSR" whatever that means. Could it have anything to do with LIER? Perhaps she is one of the mystery Lindens associated with that clandestine organization? p.s. One of the top hits I got when I googled "CSR" and "Linden" was this reference... http://www.kiasia.org/En/Group_Tier4.asp?GroupTierId=9&SubGroupTier_ID=25&SubTier_ID=107&SubTier2_Id=57Could this be the unidentified person in that photo standing on the mooring tower and monitoring the airship Magellan was in? Maybe he is/was evaluating the airship terminal that the moles built in Bay City? p.s.s. Another CSR reference... http://blogs.ft.com/techblog/2007/08/Maybe they are the ones who make the implant we all receive when we first come to Second Life... the implant that the Lab uses to track us and everything we do on the Grid.

Did you notice that Magellan's status has been updated on that page?
