http://slurl.com/secondlife/Nautilus%20-%20Himilco/89/213/64There's a palace in the city on top of that round hill. Behind the throne, is one of Magellan's rum bottles, and it's not empty! He apparently planned to return to the throne room soon. The temple near the palace with the snake goddess statues is damage enabled. That's a little disturbing.

FIeld Notes. Marianne McCann, Age six. "...Hope my teacher had her baby okay, but glad I was able to miss school an spend some extra time exploring Nautilus. Jes to be on the same side, I took to a wet suit in water regions, an that ol' flight suit I found in Mos Ainsley for above ground exploring. I also took to keeping the cabin closed in the blimp this time..." "...looks like a lot of lost ships in the water around the area, as wrecks are all over the Bingo Straight and north and south channel. There is also a lot of stuff that people from Nautilus left in the Straight too, though much of it lies underwater. In one wreck I found more of that red crystal, there's a huge statue down there in ruins, too. and one spot in south channel seems to be an outcropping of the stuff. It seemed very popular with whoever lived here. Like a power source of someting like the blue glowy stones in Avaria. I wonder if there's a link somehow..." "...I found a treasure trove hidden underwater! I fear that publishing that will lead others to hunt for it, but maybe they'll also be unable to get past the barrier. Still, it may include clues..." "...curious dolphin like submarine in the temple, as well as a display of many colors of crystals. I did't 'spect to see something modern looking like a sub in this old temple place. Looks like others have been here too, judging from some of the books left near the submarine..." "...Brother found a sub in the water, too. It did not seem to work. Who brought it out here? And what of that strange, rusted SLRR trolley? It's not at all like any of the trolleys I've seen before on any of th' lines..." "...Mr Hawks tipped me off on some doings in the Citidel throne room, and sure enough, a bottle of Magellan's icky liquid (some sort of fuel?) is right behind the throne. He's definitely been here. An recently. But where now?" "...Wonder if the images in the tank might show places Magellan has been, an I wonder if they might help lead to places he is now, or if they're all dead ends. At any rate, I hope he's okay no matter where - or when - he is..."

From: Mjolnir Uriza ok i am now confused somebody said nutalus is now touching the south contenet but i thought jeogeot is the south content and nutalus is no where near there They mean the new south continent, off to the east of the old north continent, not the old south continent.

I recall seeing it posted here on the forums before, but I couldn't track it down. I want to recall it being only showing a name in asian characters, akin to Jeogeot on the same map. If I could get in world, I'd grab a piccie

I was walking up to the temple and I fell through the concrete blocks, and couldnt get back out, so i camera'd around and just started movin against the blocks and it finally spit me out deep underwater, where i found a secret tunnel with spears and skulls and an iron ring. this tunnel comes up into the temple where its tricky to get out be careful out there

We got a lot of requests for more Magellan information. I found some pictures on the shared Linden drives, showing the airship which Magellan used to reach Gaeta initially. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Magellan_and_Gaeta

Any chance you can identify who is on the mooring mast, watching the airship? There's been lots of speculation but I don't think we ever found out who it was..

I had an interesting conversation with a mysterious resident last evening. I've posted the chat log and some pictures: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Nautilus_City_investigation#ElcanoI'm afraid I still have more questions than answers. I'm going to explore the area this evening, using the handy slurls you all have provided. And yes, I'm going to wear protective garb. I don't have a primitar suit, but my gridnaut suit, used for intergrid teleport, should suffice. I still don't buy that there are dangerous field intensities on Nautilus City, but the suit is comfy enough (and stylish!) so I'll wear it anyway.

So Magellan was indeed in the throne room!
Still so many questions. And if this place was shielded, what other mysteries are on the grid yet to be found?
And where is Magellan, and what trouble might he be in?
I'm glad there's an explorer's meetin' comin up!

TY Periapse.. Elcano seems to have taken etiquette lessons from Magellan, eh? Hm.. From: Elcano ...I found it here in the city of the MAZERANNOCHIRASU... ...when the island is called NOCHIRASUSHITI was discovered... My cryptoquote skillz seem, at best, broken today. /me notes that it's " city of the MAZERANNOCHIRASU" which implies the name of the race, at least if the translator isn't pouncing the grammar too badly. Something like Dolphin Worshipers or Nautileans or something, maybe. NOCHIRASUSHITI seems to be the island name. LIER (I assume Michael and/or Periapse work for LIER) declared that "This island is now called Nautilus City" but I can't seem to make it work. /me suspects more than a simple 1-for-1 code, though NOCHIRAS does appear in both. I tried making NOCHIRAS work for "city" but didn't get anywhere (and would be redundant vs "city of the ..."

Not sure if this helps anyone but I made a balloon trip up the Nautilus canal earlier today. No sign of Magellan but I did spot this Atomic Boring Machine" which I believe belongs to him. Gives a whole knew meaning to going underground.

That conversation in the Wiki is interesting... seems likely that this 'Elcano' is connected to Magellan in some way. I have my theories... I'm curious about those names he gave, too. I wonder how he came upon those?

From: Sindy Tsure I thought chirasu was a sausage.. Might have been thinking of chorizo... I did some googling, and found a Japanese-English dictionary which says that 'chirasu' means to scatter or to disperse, and 'shiti' means city. No idea about the rest of it, though.
