Also, I've created an object with an image of part of JIRA issue, and a bit of llSetText, which when clicked loads the JIRA issue in the clicker's browser.

I put a copy of the Jira issue loader object in one of the sandboxes and within seconds the sim crashed. Just the name "Sky Eclipse" is sufficient, apparently.
![]() It wasn't the object, just a coincidence, the sandboxes crash all the time, the one next door was already down at the time. _____________________

As Sky's RL brother (what a name dropper I am, it's just because she's famous) I've seen the frustration this issue causes Sky, I'm glad that there's so much support for her in this forum and so many great ideas to try and resolve it.
As pointed out several times before, it may well be an isolated case but if Sky can crash sims, griefers will eventually find the same hole that's inadvertently causing Sky to crash and then we're all in for a helluva time because there's some seriously stupid and/or reckless griefers out there. Imagine if LL have to take the grid offline in order to prevent griefers from causing global crashes... then this issue affects every user on the grid. I've voted too, this issue NEEDS fixing, and it needs fixing NOW!!! Good luck Sky |

Just voted.
Sky is there any possibility that this is caused by a tunami of "item returns from parcell______" If so maybe they have a means to temporarily disable that. _____________________

Just voted. 57 votes so far.
On top of what I said in my Jira comment I would like to add that yes I think LL should give Sky a free premium account (if grieffers ever found out before LL how to do this LL would be in a serious mess) and maybe named it the Sky account for rewarding and meritable service ![]() All the best to you Sky |

In case anyone who wants to vote is confused by Jira (designed for and by engineers), here is my handy instructions on voting. Apologies to those who've seen it 6 times already!
The JIRA login page is at https://jira.secondlife.com/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fjira.secondlife.com%2F secure%2FDashboard.jspa -- If you know the bug number (in this case VWR-2281] then enter it in the "Quick Search" field in the upper right of the JIRA screen. -- When the bug description comes up, look on the panel on the left side of the screen for the section called "Operations" (probably the last section) -- The last item in that section should be "Voting". A single click there will register your vote. The page will change to indicate that you now have voted for this bug. ALL DONE! ------------- The next time you log into Jira, you will see a set of links on the entry page like this: "My Unresolved Reported Issues | Votes " Click on the "Votes" part of the link and you will see the status of all issues you have voted for. Also, whenever you're looking at a bug description, in the far left panel you will see a line titled "Votes". This is the number of people who have voted for the issue, and if you click "View" there you can see their names. So you can IM your friends who haven't yet voted to do so |

Well Linden Lab have a new tag line for secondlife "Second Life Grid(tm) A full-featured service platform that offers support for 3D content development in these areas: Business, Developers, Educaiton & Non-profile, Open Source". Would not do them good if you can pop into any sim and crash it. (I did not that entertainment is not part of the grid, so all of you stop dancing now!).

YEY! Prediction: bug fix for grid (server-side) within a week and a half. But then the fix has to be tested ... Also predict clean AV for Sky by Friday. Out on a limb here, but hey, I love risk. A truly brilliant support manager would offer you a Linden venue for your party and some L$ to put it together, to build goodwill with all your supporters. Start looking for your DJ now! *happy dance* |
