Im crashing Whole Sims! (serious!)... taking requests (joke!!!)

Yes, good advice.

One more thing:

Try to put your avatar online using the textsclient.exe (download binaries on libsecondlife.org site) and once there use the teleport inviet to get it where you are.
Then send a IM to your avatar with this command "appearance" just that word and it will change the appearence to the last saved.

I hope it helps. If need any additional help send me an IM inworld or here.

Note: If the avatar response with a "Done" after the "appearance" command, then it works!

Might help to say where that file is at - I just searched for it there, and was unable to find it.

Does LL know there are "weapons" out there that render scripted attachments usless and the result is a "Math error"?

Not saying it's the same math error (obviously it isn't as I can see it and the avatar and it's not crashing the sim). Also, I'm taking that an "exploit" has to affect teh whole grid then, not just a sim. Which is the thinking of some one with brain damage. I still say if it is somethign that can bring down a sim, it is an exploit. Period. *shrugs* LL can bury their heads in the sand some more if they want.

Well, i got onto live help last night and a very helpful person there went off and did some tests for me.

Came back 15 mins later and told me
'WOW, you are spectacularly broken'

LOL

anyway, i have been referred to the developers who apparently will be very interested in the case..... and now i just wait.

Sooo, since they have logged in as me, and checked everything, ran 'tests' etc... think we can safely assume its nothing I persoanally can solve, so im left in their hands.

Dont think about it then because they have the ability to do it as they please.... the guy i spoke to did politely ask if i minded, to which i replied 'no not at all, fix me!!' but he had all the passwords etc right in front of him, i didnt need t tell him and he was just some guy on the live help... wonder how many people have that kind of access?

Anyway, i really dont mind if all skys dirty laundry is aired just as long as she lives on!!

Sky, if you have any further contact with LL directly, you might want to mention two things if you haven't already:

>> Just in case they cannot fix Sky as she is, make SURE you mention to any Linden you cantact that if your AV cannot be retrieved, you insist they create a new AV for you with all her inventory, as well as a listing of your friends list. They can do it. Or at least their developers can; support may not be able to do this very easily. Which leads to my second thot:

>> If you are open to speaking directly to a developer about this, be sure you tell support that, and that you'd do it confidentially. Direct contact with players might be the sort of thing that requires approval by the player, support and an engineering 1st-line manager. A quick convo about what, for example, what you did on your computer between your last successful session and your first failed login might help them narrow in on the cause. Probably, tho, the cause is completely within SL's software. And altho they could probably replay in simulation the entire hour or two on the grid before it happened, they almost certainly are not going to bother ... so it might help to talk to you. And the development staff certainly has tools to clone avatar inventories.

The one thing worse than that is when the doctor goes, "Uh, oh!", "WTF!", "Screamin' Bejeebers!", then runs from the room screaming.

What about when they bring in all the interns for show and tell?

@Nika - Thanx for that, i havnt had contct with ny of these developer type people, but its good to know that the invntory can be transfered..... as a last resort, that would be good!

@Beezle - It feels a little like that, 'you will attract alot of developer interest' ... you can imaine them all stood over poor sky with their clip boards, prodding and poking... *sighs*
