Nope, I meant slapnuts it's my standard name for people who call me stuff like "Creep".

Yes but sleeping caps, or nightcaps, do cause a lot of 'creep'. Can take ages to comb out in the morning. Believe me I know.

No I don't act like the smartest guy in the room Brenda. However, Colette does in my OPINION, but does SHE get your flak? No, you're on her side I've noticed.

Look in my posts, you'll see the "this is my opinion" line in a lot of them, for the very reason of stressing it as opinion. And shouldn't we be smart enough to KNOW it's opinion already without me saying. It's not rocket science.

I'm extremely humorous in many of the forums I post in. Read my blogs sometime, and that's what I shine in...humor. I just find it very hard to be humorous in this particular forum, because you guys are so hardcore, and don't give an inch.

I'm an actor...I'm extremely thick skinned. This forum, however, is a breeding ground for flash fires.

My comments are only directed toward yours, how I feel about someone else's opinions is irrelevant. I will never deny you your opinion, in fact I may even agree with it at times, but IN MY OPINION you could be less condescending and stop generalizing. You seem to deal in absolutes the language of technology. But the World is covered in shades of gray. All that being said, you are obviously a valuable asset to SL. I have not seen your work, but others have attested to to it. And you do make intelligent arguments, so you are valued here, so I don't want to see you go. Just take my opinions for what the are worth.

As for reading your blog, I'll politely pass. Based upon my horrifically inflated post count, I spend way too much time doing this already.

I found Mary's hair very stylish and it would have been wrong to have washed it out immediately.

Tybalt,

I didn't call you a creep - I said "that's feature creep" (see
http://searchcio.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid19_gci860179,00.html)
and not "that's feature, creep";)

Magna Cum Laude?

I roll with Squeeze. This particular argument is pointless, NO ONE is going to budge, everyone knows where everyone else stands, so if the Lindens would just put the frigging thing out already and let nature take it's course we can get back to meaningless but highly entertaining threads about landbots and Penguins.

Why can't he get in on the action? It's not like he's the only one that's condescending and generalizing in what he posts by any means!!

How else could we tell we were talking to someone that had experience in SL??

SO...we're settled, then? Voice is the tool of the devil, and its proponents are techno-elitist scum whose sole mission is to degrade and all of those pitiful wretches who prefer text-based interactions?

OR...have we decided that the knuckle-dragging, luddite, "texties", are simply cowering, insecure dweebs, afraid of crawling from their petroglyphic caves into the bold, new era of a voice-enabled utopian age?

I'm confused.

Help me.

Why would it have anything to do with voice? It doesn't. It obviously is something with the databases again and that is why the search is down.

Yeah, you do have a good point. Maybe due to his talents as an actor his condescention takes on a life of it's own? :p

I'm afraid it probably has everything to do with hair. Lots of flexi-hair. If we all went bald (sorry Sally and Brenda), everything would be fine.

Well, I'm now 99% sure Tybalt isn't involved in managing software projects otherwise they would have recognised the phrase as a software anti-pattern rather than an insult!

Of course, not spotting the lack of a comma might have been even more difficult in voice!

Whose Mary and does she have good hair? Does she wear a nightcap?

Just some woman that was dating something like three men at once, or all wanted to or something about Mary. I do not believe that she wears a nightcap, though one of the men really needs to wear a mask. And I already said that I thought that hair stylish, but will add - stylish, but not particularly good looking hair.
