The closest anyone has come is a Collar that "Locks" in place and sends a Message to the Owner should their Property slip the Collar Off. That's about it.
To be Honest, I wouldn't like to see that kind of developement. One of the Bywords of the BD/SM community in general is "SSC", Translating into "Safe, Sane and Consentual". However it may appear to those on the Outside Looking in, All those taking part in out Lifestyle, either On Line, or IRL are doing so of their Own Free Will. Removing someones ability to Just Walk away, is a Violation of trust, and the Tenet of SSC. it would be Abuse, and It wouldn't be welcome as part of our community. The Only REAL market for an Inescapable Collar (Or cage) like you describe would be among griefers, and they have enough toy's to play with as it is.
Angel.

True, having said that I've played a game where you could not remove your own collar or chains, you could get another to pick the lock for you, but then again you could also permantly kill characters. And therefore unless they killed you, it was quite ok for you to enlist the aid of or hire some higher level characters and pay them a visit. It was really interesting because evil people could really be evil and do evil, and good people would still die trying to protect others.

Perhaps collars/chastity could be set up to be not removed by the wearer or perhaps it could be a function of an open source viewer to not allow detach commands?

They read like a lot of other pulp science fiction from the 60's. I dont think they are particually badly written when you consider that they started there.

Most people who have read them of course, have never read any science fiction from that Era.

In the context of crappy sci-fi of the period they aren't noticeably awful, but let us not forget that most of the crappy sci-fi of that period - and there was a lot - has been entirely forgotten, and Gor hasn't, because of the themes rather than the writing. Thus when one looks back on other works from the time one is actually comparing the stuff to things which are remembered because they were _good_.

I've never heard even the most ardent Gorean claiming that the books were great literature in, well, a literary sense.

Man, are the Goreans ban-happy... I love those notecards their sims have "RESPECT OUR CULTURE! IT IS A PROPER CULTURE. No furries, no robots, no kid-sized avs, no aliens, no (massive list continues). RESPECT IS VERY IMPORTANT! DON'T BE CLOSE-MINDED!" Lulz!

Well, it makes a lot of sense actually rules like that in themed sims, I could see a similar warning being quite valid on a Wild West sim or Medievil sim or even a furry sim.
Perhaps you think it is open minded to stole around as a Cylon armed with a Laser Rifle in these areas, but personally I have no problems swapping AV's to conform, and Gorians don't seem to stay Gorian when entering Star Wars sims.
You don't need to appear as a character unless you are participating, but appearing to be at least a background character of the Genre is certainaly more polite.
Unthemed sims, well anything should be acceptable, I have no problems shopping next to a Power Ranger, Elf and Easterbunny.
Maybe a wild west themed sim may allow furries, as long as they are dressed to the era, it is really up to the people setting the sim theme, and you must respect their wishes or go elsewhere.
