Artillo is the name of one of my old and most favorite Dungeons & Dragons characters actually... Artillo Z. Cavaricci to be exact, 6th level Fighter!

Fredericks is the name of a character in a series I am reading now, "Otherland" by Tad Williams.

"Sezmra" - is a character name I came up with about 6 years ago. It's also my token Internet identity.

Svarog - I'm a long time AO player, and picked "Svancara" for my last name there(you could have a first and last name for fluff, I was Raquel "Sezmra" Svancara). Svarog is of a similar exotic vein. :D

When lilone first showed me Second Life, and I looked at the power of the scripting language, the first thing that occurred to me was to build a poker table (a project I never did get off the ground, and now that others have invented that wheel, never will). "Ace" was a natural name for someone interested in poker, and Cassidy had a nice ring to it (not to mention being Bob Weir's band's name).

"Inez" was a one-off character from the Love and Rockets comic books by Los Bros Hernandez. I always loved the name and it had stuck in my craw for years. When I signed up for SL, I thought "Hey - finally a chance to be Inez".

"Angelus" because it was the first name on the list and I had no idea if I would be sticking around in SL long enough to warrant actually spending time pondering a last name choice. Although I do think it goes well with Inez.

In the book Lolita they sometimes refer to the title character, Delores Hayes, as "Lo." I have always loved the name Lolita but I thought someone else might have it and anyway I like the androgyny (word?) of Lo. I'm naming my daughter Lola, by the way. It means "strong."

Nolan is for a friend who was killed a few years ago in a car accident. Also, my favorite baseball player of all time is Nolan Ryan.

Nash because the car I learned to drive in was an old Nash Rambler my aunt had. It's also a RL friend's last name.

LeSeul is actually two french words piled into one rather pretty name .... means 'the only', (literally means the single, but shh dont tell anyone). Picked because of my love of the french language.

Ferdinand was and is a fantastic musical influence on me .... Franz Ferdinand, wonderful scottish band. <Plug>http://www.franzferdinand.co.uk thier album is fantastic.... check it out! </Plug>

Juro is Japanese for Longevity (other definitions: long life, best wishes, tenth son)

I thought it went well with Kothari, which I later found out meant 'storekeeper' (of Indian/Hindu/Jain origin).

Lash Xevious for Lascivious which means ... inciting to lust, wanton, lewd. Oh yeah, that's soooo me. :p

Besides, Extraordinaire wasn't available yet. I hoped I could snare the name Dork Extraordinaire.

People keep thinking that I pulled my name from star trek. It could be further from the truth. Altho, there are romulans in star trek and a sulu, my name is more redundant than that.
SuluMor is simply Romulus spelled backwards and it is the name of my real life kitty.
I have two cats named Romulus and Remus.

Beau - nick name I picked up on the internet some how years ago.

Perkins- Just wanted a name that started with P and it seemed to have a natural sound to it.

I found out months later there is a race car driver named Beau Perkins, I had no idea who he was before I made this name.

Also, some people seem to have trouble knowing how to say my name. It is pronounced "Bo". I had one guy (or kid) one night who kept saying I had to be gay because only a gay man would shorten "Beautiful" as a name.

Olympia comes from a character from act One from Tales of Hoffman, (which itself was loosly on E.T.A. Hoffmann's creepy short story, The Sandman.

She's a lifelike robot, "engaged" to a devoted protagonist who thinks she's human. Things go great until her feuding creators smash her to pieces.

I picked Rebus because it's a type of puzzle and I like puzzles and problem solving.

Lora is short for Lorelei, and I always liked the name. Lorelei is one of my favorite Cocteau Twins songs.

Morgan is my daughter's middle name.

Paolo is the Italian (and sometimes Spanish) derivation of my first name.

Portocarrero was the most "Mediterranean-sounding" name when I signed up ;).

LOL, silly ignoramuses! "Beau" is short for "Beauregard."
