Dang, the same locations as last 11 days freeze again.
The ones at the 64.*** locations that froze earlier to day still work fine.

Somthing is changing sometimes, im wondering what it is.

Now i cant move in my own house anymore..........
AGHRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH
this makes me crazy..!!

bad sim: Julia Creek 199...
Plush Giga 185....
Mystical Bondage 204....
I am a die hard xs4all client but now beginning to think about changing providers.........this is no fun anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had no problems since Wednesday afternoon some time before the upgrade. Exception: Thursday between 12 and 3 pm slt when it came back again.

Can walk normally on all (bad) sims I tried. I can also use the beta grid now, that had the same problem before.

I just yet tried some locations Caitlin had problems with:
bad sim: Julia Creek
Plush Giga 185
They don't give problems for me at all.

So it looks now the problem is sometimes on and off and not the same anymore for all Xs4all users.

I keep my fingers crossed and hope the problem will be over for everyone, soon.

Could people join the 'Connection problems (XS4ALL)' group please? We could coordinate faster when needed.

I hate this. Still freeze within 30 seconds. Had a friend check, and she can see me but I cant see her. It seems to be getting weirder by the minute. No more SL for me tonight, I think.

It appears to get worse for me when lots of people are logged on to SL. During the evenings/weekends it's much much worse than during the day on weekdays.

I haven't been able to do anything this evening and it's so frustrating. But you all already knew that :/

Anyhow, does anyone else get the impression it's worse during SL peak hours?

I was informed by a girlfriend yesterday.
I phoned XS4all helpdesk. They said they are working on the problem.
Today..afternoon for the dutch I was for about 2 hours in a simm where I have to build.
O wonder....after 2 hours the same problem started again.
this goes on for me for days now.
Its a pitty al those clever ppl cant solve the problem. Are they really working toghetter or is it just the search for: O GOD NO..ITS YOUR PROBLEM NOT OURS. So are they looking and searching to find and resolve the problem or just checking so they can wash there hands in innocence and blame the other party.??
For me theres money involved and its verry frustrating not be able to go to my home simm and the simm wher i have a joint venture with my sl girlfriend.
I think XS4all is a good profider. The best in Holland for me.
There helpdesk is easy to reach and you dont have to wait for hours to get an incompetent person on the phone. You get good service.
But still i have the feeling our problems arent taken serious enough. nether by SL nor by XS4ALL.
Gawd its almost 2 weeks now and its costing me money tier goes on. And no income.
I had the intention of buying a simm at the end of may but expieriencing al this, those plans are in the recycling bin.

Yes: more than 30,000 residents online usually means big trouble.

FYI - 14:00 Dutch time today I am able to move freely in good and bad sims. Ping sim and user are back to normal 100 - 300. Going to try to do as much as I can before it pings back to 10,000

-------------------------------------------------------

EDIT - 20 mins later, 14:20 and it's back to 10,000

For the last days the problem is over for me. Peak hours don't make it worse. Of course the peaks give the usual problems like lag and regio crashes, but they are not related to the specific problem. I do sometimes see peaks in packet loss at busy times, but they don't cause loss of movement or connection (just lag), and disappear soon.

Call me nuts, but to me it seems that absolutely nothing is fixed. I would even go as far as saying that things have only gotten worse, because sims where I was able to move normally despite this issue, are now showing the exact same problem. This is really becoming frustrating to the point where I'm starting to doubt whether the people at xs4all or Linden Labs even care.

And no, I'm not gonna provide statistics again, because people have given more than enough of those for either LL or xs4all to be able to figure out where the problem lies.

Yeah, KPN offers a skinny internet adsl, hah for 15 europics a month!
Hmm dont need mail or webpage, can take hotmail (well in my case, I already have a dot-mac ) and installing http is like nothing under MACOSX -- even for me.

Next tuesday I will call xs-4-no-1 and tell them I want to leave them *sob sob*, without letting them cut off my connection! (hope they understand that is against the law? i mean that cutting off?). Until my next (none) provider "connects me" *giggles*.

Cheers, all, lookup for the KPN adsl offer it seems to last till june 1.

I actually have a feeling the issue is somewhere SL-side - It seems to be consistent that things randomly break with them without them knowing how to properly fix or undo it. This smells like just another one of those cases, one of so many cases that just build up on the ginormous pile of shit. I wish the team as a whole would work more professional, but seeing as they do not seem to hold any responsability towards their customers, I wonder if that will ever change.

More and more do I feel that in order to actually get something done here to help us, be it by actual research, work or even information/support regarding this topic, we need to drop down any form of friendly requesting and start threathening to cause a swirl of bad media attention here in Holland about their support; One of the only things I can think of that would change their attitude, seeing how we are one of their bigger consumers.
Do you even think that in the end anyone will claim responsability or will make it up for all this trouble we went trough? Now that would be something right, an act of actual SUPPORT coming from LL.

I have respect for people like Torley here, perhaps one of the only Lindens that actually seems to talk to the people and lets them know what's going on. Perhaps one of the few people that does her work proper.

Enough ranting, I'll just see when I can get back to all of the customers I need to help, spamming my IM box.

Well I'm definitely staying with XS4ALL, since apparently people who have XS4ALL as an ISP aren't the only people who are having SL issues, as in these exact issues. The thread has shown people (even if one or two, it's a start) from Denmark, France and even Brazil to have the same problems. So the problem doesn't lie with XS4ALL. Quite honestly I don't even want to risk changing ISP (although no other Dutch ISP has shown the same problems? correct me if I looked past a post) and having the same problems still.

Its almost 2 weeks now. Is'nt there anyone who can mend this issue.
I hardly see any message from a Linden or somebody from XS4ALL on this forum.
I really wonder if they even intend to work toghetter to solve this problem.
How big can this issue be?
I think it's a disgrace how paying customers are treated.
I wonder how they react when miss Ansung had this problem.
I dont care whos to blame and I dont think blaming solves anything, but it would be really nice if someone could give an explanation. Please????????????

Same here. I won't change to another provider over this. Just as you I think it is not an XS4ALL matter.

I had several providers in the past, but none of them even comes close to XS4ALL and this meant in many ways. They are good as many times shown in tests done by many organisations. They are good as they have proven often to me.

Would be nice to hear from you once you've changed over, and let us know if everything is back to normal for you on SL. If so, I'm sure many others will follow suit.
