Maybe I'm speaking too quickly, but I felt like it really needed to be posted since I hadn't had this for the past 2 weeks.

I've been logged in for almost 9 hours now at a sim which the ping user would go to 10000 in maybe 2 seconds, it was beyond horrible for me. Now I have no packet loss, no freezing up moments, nothing. It seems all fixed for me.
2 hours has happened several times during the past two weeks, but 9 hours is quite amazing to me, especially the sim I'm in (Skaville).

Look on the bright side

For those still having problems, hey at least it's positive news that 'some' of us are fixed. IF it stays fixed then they can obviously fix yours too!

Right?

I always get to read these positive announcements when I am stuck at work. By the time I get home the problem is back. :(

No, when you get back from work the grid is down.

But hopefully after that some stable IM, so we can all chat about how unstable SL is. :D

The only funny thing about this situation: My alt (who lives in the false assumption that I am her alt) is very jealous that she let me start this important thread :p

This is unbelievable

I just received a message from Piere-Luc Linden about the complaints I made about the stuck/freezing. All I received was a mail full with urls to the knowledgebase, to the help, to the community support, to windows vista etc.

I've sent so many times the same complaint in which I explained exactly what is the matter and what I did and then I receive only this standard mail full with links.
I think its unbelievable how LL deal with this big problem.

There's also a line in this mail that says: Please reply to this e-mail if your problem or request persist and isn't resolved by the articles below:
(those articles are the links to the knowledgebase)

Who else received such a mail?

As posted on the Jira site.

From: someone
Hi (Torley here), thanks again everyone for your patience. I'll confirm that yesterday, after much continued investigation working with XS4ALL, we (Linden Lab) contacted Internap to change our routing, so all our subnets route to Sprintlink now. As suggested, let's see what happens over the next few days, but hopefully things should generally be getting better.

YAY for Torley, LL, xs4all and server hosts :D

I logged back in after the update and STILL working fine, awesomely even. To me it'd appear to be fixed. I hope I'm not the only one and that it works for everyone.
And if not, then surely it'll be fixed very soon.

*goes back to SL all happily and crosses fingers it works for everyone*

I`m still having the same issues .
My home isnt reachable anymore , TP there . . move for 3 seconds then freeze up with huge packet loss and zero bandwidth .
My IP is 83.160.XXX.XXX (Demon) my home sim is "winnipeg" ( dont have the IP handy @ work right now ) and i`m really getting fed up at this after having some high hopes with me being able to do stuff in my home sim for hours two days ago .

And to make matters even more frustrating from me ?
Today I received a 100 % standardised e-mail reply back .. for my original support ticket that i raised at Linden Labs 2 days after the problem originally started !!

That e-mail contained a complete 15 step trouble shoot analysis with in-depth details of how and what even before i came to this thread and seeign that people were having simular issues.
And all i got back was a standard e-mail stating

Hi , we received your mail , if your having issues with X and X .. please refer to this URL.
If you have problem with Z or Y please refer to this URL . etc.
I`m sure you`ve all read it one time or another .

Thats absolute *****
I doubt who-ever handled my e-mail didnt even read it cause everything mentioned in the default response had no relevance to everythign i wrote in there .
I was expecting at the very least a short personalised response stating that they at laest looked at it and A. didnt know what to do with it or B. Were working on it .

*frustrated*

That message you got is most likely an automated generated message based on keywords in the mail you send to them. I don't think that any person was involved in that.

When I placed a problem with them, I got a message like that. Later I received a more personal message written by a LL employee (and which did solve my problem)

How do you know what "range" you are? and what does it mean?
