Yep, I think a lot of us are waiting for the site to get back online. I have plenty of storage and bandwidth to host them if I can get copies of the files.

If I get a chance this weekend I'll get them up somewhere. They're about 50mb in total and get dowloaded a dozen or more time each day so they suck some pretty serious bandwidth.

If you don't mind file sharing I'd be more than happy to send them to people via IM in the meantime. I have all the IM programs & tons of time.

as i suggested before, rapidshare.de is for the most part permanent hosting for everyone to download this for free. all you have to do is go there.

another option i can think of is yousendit.com but thats limited to 5 downloads i believe. so i guess we would have to do an honor system with something like that, for example if you download, youre expected to reupload to yousendit.com and repost the link.

Chip, I've got my own server hosted on a gigantic pipe at work. Bandwidth isn't a problem at all for me.

I would also like to make torrents for the files which will help spread the load out.

If I can get the files from someone, I can get 'em online pretty quick.

Update on my server. Sorry this is taking so long. I thought I'd be a good customer and stay with the company I've had service with for over a year now, but apparantly it doesn't help to be loyal any more.

The sales department isn't returning my calls or emails about my new server and why it's not set up yet. I was supposed to be online the 18th. The DC has no order for my server to be installed and this is the first trouble I've ever had with this company. I even had a positive BALANCE with the company because I pay for 6 months of hosting at a time, so I know this isn't over money.

I'm glad to see the templates are available elsewhere now, I will update Chip and everyone else as soon as I know something.

That's a self extracting zip file that contains a package of goodies from Namssor Daguerre for doing avatar makeup in Photoshop similar to what you can do with the appearance sliders in SL. You can find more info about it in this thread: /109/60/51246/1.html

I just threw those up there pretty quick; I'll probably start making my file collection more organized as time permits. I'm starting to get into the building and scripting stuff pretty deep now so I expect I'll be throwing more stuff up there.

I don't have a problem making room for other files if anyone has good stuff like this to share. I've got huuuge tracts of ... disk space, and my hosting is pretty reliable. (Sorry about your problems, Aaron...) And frankly, rapidshare chafes my walnuts. Give me a plain old file listing any day...
