Thank you so much Chip. I am just finishing my first batch of clothing and I wish I had waited till these were posted :) . They will make further work much easier.

On another note...HELP!! lol awhile back I found a message where someone offered the software needed to make prim shoes. I tried to get it but was not available. I IMed the person who offered it but got no response. Anyone out there wlling to share? I am so interested in playing with it.

Also, does anyone know where I can find a script which imitates a fan fanning..if you get my meaning. Making an outfit for a friend and it seriously needs a fan. I found a designer out there with fans but she doesn't seem to want to sell me the script, which I can understand. Am willing to pay for a script with trans and copy permission. Appreciate any help.

Very very nice Chip! I work with poser templates all the time and I only wish they were this good... I think someone over at DAZ needs to hire you for the template making.. hehehe

Thanks for all the love :)

Wiccan, was the program you were thinking of for doing shoes maybe "Tattoo"? If so, you can find it here http://www.terabit.nildram.co.uk/tattoo/. If not, then I'm not sure. I don't delve into shoes at all. I'm not sure about your other question either, alas. I'm a clueness newb when it comes to anything with a script inside it, hehe. Hopefully someone else will know where to point you.

Not to barge in or anything but this isnt really the best place to post this, you should probably make a new thread so that others will see it. As best I kniw I would suggest tattoo for making shoes as well, but Im not sure where the prim part comes in, the fan fanning thing might could use a little clarification in the scripting forum too :)

I'm reasonably certain that the post should go here.

I'm using the template to create a basic shirt (first one BTW), and it appears I'm misjudging where the bleed line is.

To clarify, where should the bleed line be? In my case I'm using the PSD files so the layer to work from is fine. For now I'm just covering a few pixels past everything and hope for the best... :)

Hiya Alan :) For the most part the colored edge matching guide lines are in the bleed area. They're not visible on the avatar when the textures are fully rezzed. The absolute seam match point is the outside edge lines on the bottom grid template. You want your details to match up at that outside edge but extend your painting to cover the colored edge matching lines (or a little beyond them) to allow for the bleed area. The bleed area is what's visible on your avatar while the textures are rezzing. They rez progressively in 3-4 stages. The edge matching guide lines are equivelant to the bleed area needed to cover the gap for textures that are half way or more rezzed, if that makes sense. It's not an exact science. The actual match point for fully rezzed textures is represented by the outside edges on the bottom layers of the templates. :)

Chip's templates
04-10-2005 09:07
I viewed my first creations using Chip's latest templates in game last night. All I can say is tytyty. For the most part everything was lined up fine. Having some trouble with shortie shorts but I am sure I will figure out the lines eventually :)

Wonderful job, Chip.

Thanks Wiccan. Glad to hear they're working well for you. Shorts are pretty hard to do because of all the stretch and distortion on the inner thigh. It'll probably take you a bit of experimentation to find a hem line that works for you, so hang in there :)

Figured I'd bump the newer template thread and give Chip a big thanks at the same time. Chip, you're a true asset to the community, and it's very big of you to release something that will help everyone, even your competitors. The templates are very useful and very usable, a hard combination to come by these days.

Yeah, I'm hosting the files for Chip and the whole server is currently experience "technical difficulties." I've been going round in circles with tech support -- if anyone speaks Farsi I could maybe use your help, because every time the tech I'm talking to refers to a "hard drive" he calls it a "hardly dive" -- no joke.
