Fantastic Chip. Thanks. I was inspired by your skins to do one of my own. I only needed a head texture, so i tried making one of my own. Took me HOURS just to line the eyes up, and even then didn't seat them as well as i would have liked. The detail and precision of these temples may help me with that! Thanks Moss  One thing to keep in mind when painting eye details on the templates is that the template shows the eye closed. The very narrow slit in the center of the eye on the template is the opening between the eyelids. I recall it took me a while to figure that out._____________________

Stray pixelling?

Hiya Chip-erness.
 I finally got fed up with the SL offered templates and tried yours and I like them a lot. Only one problem....massive stray pixelling. My almost finished products turn out with hundreds of single pixel 'empty space' all over. Any ideas what's causing this? |

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would cause that. You should always create new layers and do your work on those rather than on the existing template layers. Also be sure to create your own alpha channel. If the PSD has a saved selection in it, that would end up as your alpha which probably wouldn't be what you want. Other than that, I'd need more info about what exactly it looks like and what your workflow is. _____________________

These pretty much render all my previous templatess useless so the first three threads are welcome to vanish into the abyss never to return. This thread usually doesn't stray too far off the front page. I'd love to see some stickies in this forum, like Chosen's alpha primer and a few other "must read" ones. _____________________

Viewing template in DAZ Studio

Hi there!
These are great templates mr Chip but I'm having a slight problem. I'm trying to view my work using DAZ Studio and so far, the eye makeup and lip area's are showing up beautifully, but the rest of skin doesn't display at all. I've made sure that the skin goes all the way to the edge of the templates and am using TIFF file format but not sure what to try next. I am brand new to SL and have been fascinated with the abilities of texturing, skin & makeup and other design elements but I am not familiar with most of the terms used here. If someone could help the newb out, I'd appreciate it! |
