There is no project. Some of us just really like computer games and jumped at the chance to try playing something new.

Since when is asking a straightforward civil question considered an intrustion?

People come here for many different reasons, but they're all different. As a group of over 100 have come from one place to here, I was just wondering whether there was a specific group project in mind.

Ok.... it just seemed a logical conclusion that over 100 people coming from the same place, being given over 7,000 sq m of land, might have had a specific purpose in mind, that's all.

As we can see from one of the Suicide Girls - there is no "project." Just a new environment for them to explore.

I have one question for the people so vehemently opposed to the Suicide Girls' mere existence in Second Life. Had the SGs come en masse with no alleged overture from LL or any of their employees, would you have so much of a problem with them coming to SL?

I didn't keep count, to be perfectly honest with you. If you really need to know, let me know, then remember to ask me again in a month. I'm not entirely sure your life will be enhanced by the knowledge though.

Are there Christian missionaries in SL (which is the logical conclusion I draw from your comment)? Are you associated with a group that perhaps uses regular names to blend in and not attract attention? Or will we have to just wait and see?

And since it was brought to our attention - 3 days ago? - the forums have been full of nothing but conjecture and moral pronouncements from people who just won't GO TO THE SOURCE and ask the Suicide Girls themselves. How many pages upon pages of undue Drahma have there been? Too many. Nice welcome for them, too. At least for the ones who have even bothered with our pathetic forums.

Yes, I said pathetic. There are so many people jumping through hoops to INSULT the newest members of Second Life - with no real information about them, only conjecture. Lewis, I do shudder due to the fact that you are a Greeter and posting on the forums in the av name you wear as a Greeter. You are a representative of Second Life in your role as greeter. Posting your moral denouncements of a group of people you have not even bothered to talk to, not to mention trying to find a way to ban them all from your land, speaks volumes.

I suspect we have a secret religious group attempting to spread their influence in what must appear to be a god-forsaken place. The silence is deafening.

My project? Currently I run a seventies themed nightclub, have a small store, and have built a house. At the moment, I am working on running a water feature through it, and you'd be more than welcome to come and check it out if you wish - but bear in mind I am still working on it.

No doubt there are Christian Missionaries within the game, perhaps also people from wierd and wacky cults - but I am not connected in any way with any of them, and am not aware of them.

I have found a number of other Christians in game - many of whom have become good friends - but again I am not part of any of the groups that are in game.

I am here to enjoy myself... I don't hide the fact I'm a Christian, but don't stand on a corner on a soapbox preaching to the sinful masses about the need to repent, turn or burn.

That's the truth. Take it or leave it, it's not my problem.

Funny that, I was commended not more than 5 minutes ago in game by Char Linden (who answered my question on Live Help for something I initially couldn't work out and asked for someone else's opinion, Char answered) for my patience in dealing with a confused newbie on Orientation Island, who turned out to have an insufficient spec computer as the source of all her problems.

I had to look back and see - it actually wasn't the Suicide Girl who brought up the idea of a project; it was Weedy saying "good luck with your project," and I wondered what the project was, too. I think, though, in retrospect, Weedy probably meant good luck with the project of the SG web site.
