Eboni, I almost always think you're on target with things, but this is really a straw man. Who's silencing him? People in these threads cannot silence him. People in this thread haven't even told him "be quiet". They have reacted to his moral judgements. You don't like it? Too bad, you don't have to read it or reply either. Your outrage is misplaced. There is a certain irony about someone standing against what she thinks is the silencing of another resident, while telling others to "STOP".

But if your attitude is that it's a tiny world that is getting narrower and narrower, then it is your (and mine, and everyone who participates) responsibility to expand and make changes. Endless time has been wasted speculating over some "mystery" deal LL may or may not have made with SG, a spit of virtual land, a custom surname (my only personal beef with all of this, because, dangit, I want to change my name!) and a handful of new members. (On a related note, a quick look at Groups indicates Suicide Girls seem to have had some sort of presence in SL for a while and the sky didn't fall.) I don't think the devil is knocking on anyone's door here. More power to the folks who feel more comfortable staying in PG sims -- may ideas blossom and bring forth a rich wide world. More power to folks like me who are settled in Mature sims (and, contrary to popular belief, are not swearing and having sex 24/7 with anything that blings) -- may our hard work to make interesting content and events be rewarded with happiness and satisfaction. More power to the new folks who come on each day, be their last name Suicide or Magpie or Odets or whatever -- may adventures and friendships and creativity be around every corner. I adore SL and don't intend on letting anything I'm uncomfortable with or lifestyles I don't understand chage that.
