I am amazed that this person is still in business in SL. As someone who has a product for the same market (a pregnancy AO), I meet a lot of people who are interested in babies in SL. Time and again, this same company comes up as being a scam. It is a shame that the TOS binds us from posting about this (unless of course you own enough land that LL looks the other way, apparently), because this particular company has scammed a lot of people out of a lot of money by not delivering on what was promised, no pun intended. Sorry that this happened to you. Word of mouth is a powerful thing, but unfortunately, as SL grows larger and the TOS binds us from even being able to alert people to bad products or outright scams, this will continue to go on. As always, buyer beware. Before you are considering purchasing anything you consider to be expensive in SL, ask around about the company. Being an informed consumer is always a good thing. Cris, Having used the company for my own fatherless baby, I agree one hundred percent. Was not impressed. At ALL. Is sort of a hm, a situation where they either need to do it right or just admit that they can't and give up. Unfortunately, no one has come in to give them any strong competition to people that don't know any better. Sooo, hey, free business idea to anyone that wants it? lmmaoo. sorry it's late and I'm tired. *bows out before she stops making any sense wotsoever* |

snip...and in fact the box baby was a replacement for a friend's who I took and gutted, placing all your scripting and sounds into my own crafted baby . Ok, baby and gutted should NOT be in the same sentance... _____________________

Ok, baby and gutted should NOT be in the same sentance... The words "Dingo" and "Baby" shouldn't be in the same sentence either _____________________

The words "Dingo" and "Baby" shouldn't be in the same sentence either You mean something like this? "A prim dingo ate my prim baby?" _____________________

I was thrilled when I got married. I had dreams of marital bliss and many babies. Just a few short weeks after I got married, I went to a well known baby place and I oohed and ahhed over all the cute baby things, the sweet sounds that the babies made, the adorable little babies themselves. I asked my hubby if we could start our family. When he agreed, I made the purchase of the baby. Only the baby, though. I was told that since it was only the baby, that it wouldn't take long. Excellent! I made my own shapes, since that is what I do. My friends and my hubby shared my excitement. We couldn't wait on the birth of our first son. Friends were giving me gifts, my mother in law was spoiling me to no end. I even bought us a new house. Made one of the rooms off the master bedroom into an adorable little nursery with a set that I had bought at the clinic. Such a beautiful nursery. As the weeks progressed, I decided to ask about the status of the baby. It worried me a little when I was asked my due date, but I shrugged it off. Okay they are a very busy clinic, tons of babies, with also furniture and other things as well. I patiently gave my due date and was told the baby would be given to me on that date. Well yesterday was that date. November 19th. Friday night I asked about the baby and I was told they dont work on the weekends. Uh oh. What now? Then I was asked to give them a new notecard with the baby information on it and that the baby would be sent to me as soon as possible. When I went to send it, the person with whom I was in IM with had gone offline. Ack! Ok, shrug it off, dont worry. Well yesterday was my due date. I got online to an offline message asking what my question was and about the notecard. Hmmm... Ok... now I was beginning to worry. So when I responded, they were offline but I went on to explain the situation. I didn't get a response. Well today I am still without a baby. They dont work on the weekends. HMmmm... nothing was said about my not getting my baby if my due date falls on the weekend! Well in short, they will have my baby ready for me by 430 pm tomorrow... and I am not even sure that my hubby will even be here to enjoy the event... and furthermore they tell me they have no record of my ever paying!!! Well my dreams of having babies with my hubby here are dashed. I've picked up everything in the nursery, I am wearing black as if in mourning, for I am mourning the death of a baby never to be. Now I have to explain to my hubby when he gets home, that his son will never be. Not sure I can ever go through this again. This truly has broken my heart. I'm sorry, my darling. Initially Angela I felt bad for you but I have to say, it was wrong of you to not post that your money had been refunded. It's one thing when your expectations are not met, that's mis-communication or possibly poor workmanship. It's another when money is taken and nothing is delivered, that's theft. There is a really big difference between the two. Montez King - my apologies for the use of the word crook in my previous post and for jumping to that conclusion. Rose _____________________

uh huh.. suuuuure ![]() acid can make you puke if you got a heavy dose of strychnine instead of the real deal... or so I've been told ![]() Strychnine in acid is an urban legend - granted, once that was easy to believe at 1:30AM when I was grinding my my teeth down to stumps, but a legend nevertheless. There has been no REFUND
11-22-2005 10:47
Initially Angela I felt bad for you but I have to say, it was wrong of you to not post that your money had been refunded. Angela has still not received the baby or a refund, and likely will never. Not sure where you are getting this information. Besides spending lindens to purchase the baby, she has spend a lot with other creators. If this was the only time or one of the few times this has happened with this vendor then fine it was may be a error that coud be worked out. But this has happened to numerous ppl in sl. To me that just shows the reputation of the vendor....Hope he is willing to fix the problem and refund the money....OOPS that is right he waited for a month to go by to say he had no record of her purchase. Convient since SL records only go back on month. |

My apologies for even starting this thread. As soon as I posted it, I was already getting over it. My emotions were running high, I was on a timeline with my hubby. He works away most of the time and only gets a few hours here and there or if we are lucky he gets to be here for two or three days in a row. He was looking forward to the birth and sharing in the experience with me (even though I wanted to avoid the whole birth animations...)
As for getting a refund, I never recieved one... because the accounts only go back for one month and I paid for it over a month ago (there is no proof that I even paid for it) As for the reason why I wanted a baby here in the first place is because I will never be able to give him a baby in real and so this was my way of being able to have a family with him. Sorry if it makes you laugh and want to poke fun, but hey... at least you got a laugh. I do love to make people laugh, although I don't like to do it at the expense of myself. My apologies also to you, Montez, for losing my patience and dragging you into the forums. My apologies to all of my friends who had to hear me rant and who wanted to fight my battle for me because I was backing down. I was just trying to warn people about what they purchase and I got too emotional. Just because I am a real person behind this avie does not make me crazy, but hey, that's okay. Think what you want. I never got what I paid for even though I did as told, I put my name in the title of the notecard. I guess I just need things spelled out for me clearly lol. Can we now please drop this? _____________________

ahhh ty for clearing that up for me - I'd always heard it and never did grind my teeth the only time i did try it - er I mean my FRIEND never did grind HER teeth the only time SHE tried it sorry for the extra hijack ![]() yeah the thought that people would put poison in acid was one I beleived for awhile, but is it simply bad acid. unless the chemists get it exactly right, you may end up with something other than LSD-25, a designer drug if you will. Pure real acid is pretty gentle on the body, no teeth grinding unless you are not enjoying your trip when I, I mean my friend of course, cut a very large amount of liquid, we used Vodka. granted it was not the best vodka (plain label), but it was hardly rat poison my advice, if you find a good dose, buy alot of it (a vial is best) and hoard it (and hide it, the war on drugs was started because the govt, Nixon specifically, was afraid of people seeing through the BS, and instead of cleaning up the BS they made LSD STRONGLY illegal so we wouldn't realize the BS, and other drugs were also persued). the shit lasts forever and you don't risk getting that crappy feeling from yucky stuff. "family" members are a good source. the guy at the rave or on the street corner are not _____________________

Sadly it appears that the gentle running this service that posted here earlier has a repeat pattern of not delievering on time and lack of communication.
I spoke with a friend of mine who I thought used his service. As soon as I said "SL bab..." she screamed his name along with a few obscene paragraphs I will leave out. It appears her significant other was also not as thrilled having heard this name. It apepars he charged 1500 L$ upfront for service. They wanetd a "goth" baby and was told two months. A month in she attempted to contact said maker with no answer. Two months in she tried to contact him only to see he was sick in his profile. After a very short IM it appaers the significiant other of the baby making service was working the service. The happy couple understood RL illness and said they would wait. Soon they got the first shape and it was horrible. The /gift/ they also was a candle set that looked like it was made by a tossing 5 square prims together. The dress she got could have been made by a newbie inside of the orrientation island as well. Later 15 weeks had passed and still no baby. Everytime a IM was attempted it was met right away with a followup message and finding out the baby maker was suddenly offline. Finally after being told the baby maker did not recieve payment and requesting the money the husband had enough and was prepared. He threatened to report him to the Lindens and within 48 hours had the baby they had waited 4 months to get. This couple was happy to finally be over the situation. The mother attached the baby and it appeared on her head and was just slightly pale. The mother also requested a special dress for the baby and was told it could be done. The baby had not the outfit requested but instead just a slapped on back outfit as generic as the one the mother to be recieved with the candles. They both feel all and all the service was worth 500 Lindens at best. Hearing thier words and seeing the baby (even for a prim baby it looks like ti wa sbeat with an ugly prim stick.) I would have to say I'd rather have a newbie make a prim baby for me....I'd get the same quality. Also many of the functions, scripts, and accessories did not work with the baby as promised. The couple just gave up sad they had wasted thier first hard earned 1500 L$ on such a horrible product. _____________________

and yet another prim baby/LSD thread bites the dust.... How did we.....but, I mean how exactly.....I mean, wha? Huh? Only in Second Life could a thread start out about prim babies and end up on the subjects of LSD and meths! It's hard enough following the flow on this board as it is. If only my flashbacks would stop this might all make sense. I'm gonna hide in a corner now and wait for the spiders. Or the little Borrowers I once saw, but that's a whole different kettle of tap-dancing cats. _____________________
