Maybe it's time the Lindens revisit this issue. Just like Paypal and Ebay, set a fraud program in place so that people who accept Lindens in exchange for a product and/or service, but don't deliver, are dealt with.

I have two comments;

1. ANYONE selling ANYTHING ANYWHERE (here or RL) that cheats their customers is simpy a crook...game or no.

2. While I certainly wouldn't personally RP pregnancy in a virtual world I have to say that, in the LONG list of things I've seen in SL this is hardly any more or less unusual than anything else. Let's see...how many slaves or slave owners do you see during the course of a day? How many furries? How many people flying around in spaceships? Vampires anyone? Gorean RP? I'm sure I've only scratched the surface...

I mean really...those that live in glass houses shouldn't be tossing around stones huh?

Let me respond to a few of these comments....

First of all, the Stages (pregnancy program) is very simple, with a simple set of instructions. You come in, fill out a notecard, put your name on it, select features you'd like customized on your baby, including name, hair color etc, create a folder with your name on it, drop the notecard in, along with your shape and send it to me. At that point, you will be scheduled for a mock ultrasound and a delivery date. You come in on your appt time, have your ultrasound, get an image, ask me any questions you have concerning your pregnancy or your baby then on your delivery date you come in and receive your baby.

1 out of 50 people will actually put their info in a folder with their name on it. Most people send me things when I'm not online, with no name and no IM letting me know they've sent something. When I log in I check my schedule of appts and deliveries, answer questions and prepare for the work part of my day from 4-7 everyday but the weekend which is when I try to have my own Second Life, with my wife, family and friends. Contrary to popular belief, I do have interests outside of spending countless hours scamming people with these babies I take my time to customize and personalize.

Althouh I have alloted time everyday to be "in the office" working on babies and appts, it's never that simple. I get IMs all day long from very early in the morning to 2 and 3 am with hundreds of questions about who what when were and how. If I don't respond, I get bombarded with "hello are you there .. can u help me.. oh you jackasss" If I do respond and try to tell people I'm busy at the moment but I'll assist you as soon as I can... I'm still a jackass... I can't win.

We've put the appts on a schedule to try to keep the workflow organized.. but things happen. Sometimes there's traffic and I get home late. My game crashes and I can't log in. The island is down... you name it, it happens. And when I've missed appointments, I do my very best to reschedule and compensate. Still lands up me being a jackass...

My wife and I started this business based on our own experience. There were no other services that provided the pregnancy opportunity or had babies we could customize to what we wanted. We enjoyed the process extrememly when we did it for ourselves, so we decided to share the experience and help others who wanted to roleplay that out. I am just one person tho, trying to service the whole population of SL. I'm human, I make mistakes, I cannot BE the whole experience for you... but do know that every interaction is just as much of an experience for ME as it is for YOU. The money is nice but it's not the driving force as I will and have promptly given a full refund to those who feel slighted by the experience.

The program is $2,500. For that you receive customized shapes, a fully customized, extremely scripted baby, several animations, a package full of baby accessories, an ultrasound experience, complete with scan and image to take home. You have a personal meeting with me to discuss any questions you have about the process and you have the opportunity to come in and roleplay out a mock delivery with your family... fully animated. Not to mention there's staff on hand who answer your questions and reschedule your appts all day and night. And if you have a problem or change to your baby, I do that for you free of charge. The only thing I ever ask is for you to wait til I'm in the office... or come to a scheduled class we have every week.. 2 hours of dedicated Q&A.

As for Angela and her complaint... ok. She contacted me yesterday (Sunday) claiming she ordered a baby over a month ago and never received it. She said she paid for it ahead of time. I searched my inventory and found nothing with her name on it. I don't recall having any prior conversations with her about a baby. I checked my sales history and of course nothing.. No receipt. No notecard. Nothing indicating she's ever contacted me. I told her, no problem, I will create a baby for you and it will be ready tomorrow. She did not want to wait. She had her friend bombard me with ims. Her friend and husband later came to my island and bombed me.... because she could not wait until today to receive the baby I never even knew of prior to yesterday.. but was going to create for her on good faith...

Aleksie Solvang... I told you I could not have your horse created in time. It was proving to be a bit more challenging. I apologized and gave you a full refund and told you I would continue to work on it and give it to you as soon as I was finished.

Jacqueline... if you're going to chime in and tell the story.. please be inclusive. When you received your first baby, you promptly pulled all the scripts and contents out of it and contacted me to complain that it was broken. I replaced it free of charge. The next time you contacted me you told me you lost the baby. I replaced it for a fee. The next time you contacted me to tell me you AGAIN lost the baby... I replaced it for free. And then you and Aleksie both came in and purchased boxed babies. I contacted you later on to check and see if you were still having issues with your baby. I went above and beyond to assist you.

I give more things away than I sell. If I make a mistake with a customization, I fix it. It doesnt matter if you tell me you want reddish brown hair and the baby you received has hair a bit more brown than you like... I fix it. I don't call people a jackass because they were 20 minutes late for their appt.. or because they are calling me all hours of the day and night to ask me how to change the baby's clothing... or demanding that I send them their baby a week early or tping to me on a saturday afternoon while I'm trying to watch a movie.. to ask me why their baby blinks.

There are countless of idiotic questions, comments, rude people, irritating and demanding confrontations I experience every single day. I don't bash people because they fail to name their notecard but get mad when I can't find it in my inventory. I don't report people who follow me around calling me countless names because they can't wait for their scheduled appt to receive their baby. I am one person.. and it's easy to collectively bash me or the service you receive. If I were to do the same with every person I encounter who said or did something I felt weren't right in this baby experience we share.. I'd never stop posting on the forums.

I started doing this because I enjoy creating. I enjoy providing an experience. I try to adapt and compensate and customize the program to fit people, best I can within certain limitations. I cannot physically snatch a prim out of your crack and all it childbirth.. You have to roleplay some of that out for yourself. I simply try to provide you with the means to do so... For every complaint and new thread started, I have families who are on their 3rd and 4th pregnancy with this program.

For those who feel they've had a negative experience.. I apologize. The more variables you add to a situation, the more likely something is not going to go as desired or planned... crap happens and I can honestly say it's never out of malicious intenent on my end.

Ok, so I'll make fun of the roleplayers all damn day, as they're mostly idiots.

However, you, sir, are my hero.

This man deserves a break, he shared his view point give him time to do what he needs to do. it not easy servicing people. Specially /this/ group of people.

If people are truly unhappy ..then its time for you or your friends to enter into the adoption business.... competition is healthy for business.

And last but not leaste ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS note card (date & time) your /importent/ conversations... if only to have a record of it for yourself.

You know, an animator and scripter might be able to help you with that.

Considering angela's frantic and surprisingly over-roleplayed original first post compared to Montez's relatively calm and far more detailed response, and taking in that Angela hasn't posted on this thread since, I think Angela might have exagerated her position.



Hehe wow that's some really tiny text. It is sort of amusing even when i'm trying to be tolerant of what people do here.

It's funny that this baby stuff seems bizarre, we don't see a whole lot of that in SL, or atleast we see sex-slaves and giant furry women with 6 boobs more often than natural birthing processes.

This has to be the most messed up post I have ever read.

To reply to Montez - yes, after you told me numerous times that you were going to have him to me "shortly" you refunded me without asking.. i was never contacted after purcashing a box baby.. and in fact the box baby was a replacement for a friend's who I took and gutted, placing all your scripting and sounds into my own crafted baby ^_^..

I personally will never use this service again (not that im allowed on the island mind you).. the customer service was horrific.. for a service that was created obviously with a lot of care, it's amazing how easily you can toss it in the can just by treating people badly..

as for your own experience being bad.. karma baby..

if anyone else creates babies that are as good, let me know.. thank god for capitalism..


edit: oh yeah, and to everyone who thinks that being upset about a prim baby is stupid.. take away the role played pregnancy, take away being excited about staging up and getting bigger, and take away the excitement of the ultrasound.. and you've got a person waiting patiently for four weeks for something that they've ordered.. the service checks, double checks, triple checks.. and apon the date and time you're to get this thing you've waited a month for you get nothing but excuses.

Sadly I do not know how many "baby" services there are but have heard of one where the delivery was two months late only to find out the person was sick and no notification was made dispite the wife logging in. The notification came after my friends contacted them multiple times and had to get very rude about it. I also think there is the matter of paying the price. I thik these babies go for 1k - 1.5k L$ but tell me if I am wrong. For most common users this is alot of money. I know for me unless I go clubing that is a month or more right there worth of earnings.

Also to those of you that are poking fun at this I am laughing but at the same time think it is sad you do it at this time. Would you make fun of a guy for being happy to be able to fly here in SL when they are disabled in real life? I know there are ladies out there that can never have a child and this like the disabled man flying would allow them for at least an hour or so per day have something to experience like that which they can never have. Infact I know three or four here in SL who were told at a pre adult age they will never get to have children cause of cancer or some other crippling problem.

There are times to laugh and there are times to cry. I appluad those that "make babies" and do it in a fashion that shows compassion or at least communication to the person who placed the "order". To those that do not..I think you are the reason a BBB should be made here.

All this shit is sad, the woman who lost her symbolized baby, and the one's flaming her. This shit is just sad. All of it.

if you're going to act a moron please get it right.. it was my friend who lost her babe.. and it wasn't her fault, she'd put the baby down in her crib and then take her into her inventory and she'd blip, this happened twice, the first time the creator charging her an extra $1,000 even though he'd had the very same problems earlier in the day.. it was me who pulled the "boxed" baby apart, i took the scripts from the baby and put it into the baby i'd crafted.. i'm a pony, it would look pretty odd for me to walk 'round for a human baby clutched in my arms..

Part of my charm is being able to act like a moron without EVER getting it right
