I'm kind of ambivalent about the star rating thing - it certainly doesn't bother me. It is a little used feature now anyway - I don't look at a thread because of a star rating. If it is used consistently, it does have some potential. It's not so much someone dictating what is worthwhile, as we are able to read and respond to any thread we want to, so much as it just highlighting things people might find interesting. I don't see it in such a negative connotation - these are very fast moving forums and it is often difficult not to miss some things. Again, it is something I would like to see in practice before jumping to conclusions on - but then that tends to be my attitude about most things. I don't really see them as being a source of abuse or any kind of authoritarian thought control that forces us to read what they deem worthy.

Best thing about half the folks on the forums is that if they were going to AR you - and had to write a report on it, it would be totally incomprehensible and the report would probably be overthrown..
Seriously - we have people here with basic comprehension deficiencies and a good portion with victimization issues and delusions of adequacy.
