Evidence please? Could you cite the studies in which it has been proved that having sex in a virtual world with a child avatar will lead to the molestation of children in real life. They have to be genuine studies though - not something done under the auspices of a religious or other special-interest group.

If you can't do that, then the above is an opinion, presented as fact.



And those children will be child avatars, will they? I think not. If you are worried about minors pretending to be adults, then that is another matter than what is being discussed here.

I check a lot of profiles due to my SL jobs, and that information is almost always not there, even when the character is blatantly a child...

If you want to help prevent child rape, donate to a group that addresses rape in general and ask their opinions. If you want to prevent child abuse, work with a group that addresses abuse in general. RAINN is an excellent organization.

Groups like the one you quoted are so purpose-driven that they tend to witchhunt and find problems based on a few signs, even if the person will never be problematic.
