You might want to re-read those threads with an open mind before accusing the folks in these forums of viscious attacks and branding with lables -- you may see those behaviors came from another direction. I don't believe anyone here "did" anything to her but disagree with her basic premise and those who voiced disagreement were repeatedly insulted and some even accused of criminally deviant behavior. Sadly, she was so emotional she never did hear the voices that offered practical suggestions for dealing with perceived illegal behavior in SL. I do hope she finds the help she needs to deal with her own issues, and finds an outlet for directing her passions for this cause in an effective and constructive way.

(On an aside, one wonders what being "mindnumbingly beautiful" has to do with anything?)

Whoa, despite the lengthy thread, I got at least some points from different posters so far about the issue:

Child pornography, usingpictures/videos of real, flesh and blood, children should be banned from SL, plus it's against the law in a majority of countries.

Consenting adults pretending to be children and doing the nasty is not against the law. It is a fetish thay may or may not be everyone's cup of tea (commonly called "Lolita Fetish", viewing, buying animated/cartoon pornography videos and videogames of Lolita centered topics is not illegal in most/majority of countries (except Canada) and is not considered as child pornography either (in most countries).

Luring real, live minors in chatrooms to meet up in real life, or engaging in cybersex is considered as sexual harassment on minors and you can go to jail for it (in some countries). Proving that the person your cybering is or isn't a 12 year old is an entirely different banana (even impossible in most cases). Purposely luring a minor you met in a chatroom/game to meet in RL for some questionable activity/for sex, that is an offense and you can be jailed for it.

Everyone has the right to fantasize, to thinkof thoughts, no matter how morbid, disturbing, or disgusting, as long those thoughts remain rooted to fantasy, and not acted out in reality, and are not harming anyone, man, woman and child, physically, emotionally or psychologically.

People have a hard time distinguishing what is reality and what is fantasy and confuse what is a fetish from actual pedophilia.

There is no child sexual abuse in SL since for that to exist there must be a victim (a child and not an offended adult).

If an adult feels they are the victim of current child sexual abuse I strongly suggest they call their local hotline for some help.

Now some say that you should leave SL if your against AV Child Porn (or anything else whats going on in SL). But I am not for a virtual Suicide. I am against AV Child Porn.
