Anshe would do well to hire a representative who

1. Speaks english.
2. Isn't a complete and utter ass.
3. Doesn't so utterly and completely appear to be an Anshe alt.

Oh balless asslicker, its a general term describing a person who has no guts and try to please others no matter what, but will not either stand up for friends/family/customer if needed . I guess it can be compared to hunny bunny , sugar rabbit and aspartain camel, which though are romantic expressions. Expressions to descripe how one feel about or categorize a person or a a group of people.

Do onto others as you would have them do onto you, as the saying goes.

Anyone else up for bombarding this individual with notecards, adverts and stuff just because we can?

Lewis, sure go ahead, but keep in mind I have not sent you a notecard or anything else. This whole fuss is over 2 people out of about 40 who recived it decided to make drama of it. The notecard sent out was not sent out to people it did not concern. But good idea Lewis, let those notecards come and I keep ARing for a change:P Then we both can celebrate christmas without SL?

Toy, the letter was none of above.
I must say I did not even know it was againt TOS to send a notecard. I have recived a lot of wedding invited etc, should all those be dragged into the forums also and start to bash the senders?

I'm sure you were all very troubled by clicking "discard" once, but I don't think its grounds for abuse reporting or cursing Anshes name. It's three days before christmas, and your on the forums provoking a guy that can barely speak english because he sent a few people a single notecard, then act surprised when your provoktion got a reaction. PR or not, they are still people, so try to treat them with the respect you would want them to give to you. Plus, its obvious this guy comes from another culture, so you and him are going to take whats offensive a little differently, so ease up.

It's grounds for both. The time to stem the flood of spam is when it is still a trickle; we can stop this before it becomes a much worse problem.

What does Christmas have to do with it? Personally, I was super pleased when finn responded to this thread, as he demonstrated exactly what kind of person (and organization) disseminates spam.

Spammers get from me exactly as much respect as they send my way.

Well go back and read what provoked that. Secondly, it was one note card. You started this thread with every intention to make anshechungs buisness look bad, instead of just sending a message saying you didn't want to have anything to do with anshe or dropping the whole thing by clicking discard to the single note card he sent.

Your right, christmas doesn't have anything to do with it. Stuff like this isn't appropriate anytime of the year.

Tal, I have never called anyone in SL , including you, a balless asslicker. That was when we discussed customer service on a GENERAL level. When I was told its better to lie and smile to a customer and then backstab, rather than beeing honest and speak ones mind.

Hyvää Youlu, finn. :)

Notice how I didn't have to work too hard to do it? It's almost as if anshechung.com was making itself look bad.

Tren, it's such a shame that you can't post chat transcripts, then you'd realise that I got this attitude from finn after my initial IM which was:

From: someone
Hi. Can you remove me from your notecard distribution list please - I'm not interested in recieving such spam

Which is what I do whenever I get spam notecards (which seems to be happening more and more.) From there it just devolved and I was called touchy, picky, anti-social and that he wasn't going to start an 'agressive people list' for those that wish to opt out. After a couple of responses, I just left him to his rambling. That's why I AR'd him.

Doesn't matter if you called someone that or not, it's still an offensive (and unprofessional) phrase.

Let me just say here that I've never had any dealings with or spam (notecards, IMs, etc.) from Anshe or anyone in her employ. My post in this thread speaks more to the general idea that 1) despite additions to the TOS indicating that unwanted spam can be considered harassment in SL, the Lindens seem to have no formal policy in place for dealing with in-world spam complaints; and 2) this problem will continue to grow as more people and businesses become part of the SL landscape.

Since we still rely on Lindens to police our behavior and tell us what is inappropriate in this rough facsimile of a metaverse, it would behoove them to weigh in officially on what we can expect regarding how in-world spam complaints should/will be handled. C'mon, Lindens, you owe us some guidance in regard to this subject. Are business-related notecard/IM givers A-OK with you, or are they reportable offenses?

The issue I had with Moopf was that he wanted to be removed from a list, a list I do not have. It was not like I was planning to contact him another time either, so I did not see why it was so importnat to make a list for a one time thing. So I replied about , fine if you do not want to sell, then just have a merry christmas lol. Then it went on for a few lines about some list and spam. I think I said something like I am not going to make a list of people who I am not supposed to talk to under any cisrcumstances, but if you insist I can make a picky, touchy ppl list and add you there. I must say I thought this guy was joking with me and wanted to have a cheek in tongue conversation, but I was wrong so I aplogize. He was actually death serious that one cannot ask him a question without him getting upset. I am sure that clicking discard took like 1 sec, all IMs and posting in forums 1h?

I repeat I have during my 1.5 year stay sent out 40 notecards, all to peoples whose sims I visited, some for quite a while. I could have sent an offline IM also yes. But this particular individual asked not to be IMed either, so I guess the outcome had been the same.

Maybe people who do not like visitors, comments about their sims, questions about their sims or products should simply hide their sims from map, so one do not by mistake enter them, since it seems to offend them so much.

But I have learned my lesson, do not contact people in SL no matter what, it might piss them off. I guess the old phrase "Get a life" would fit in here.
