On a serious note for a change - there is a clause dealing with harrassment in the TOS, if I were being spammed with 'buisiness cards' to the point of annoyance I would look into it.

I have AR'ed similar spam and have received no final response from LL. I don't think they have completely made up their mind yet on how they want to rationalize refusing to handle in-world Anshe Chung-related spam. . |

Love, -pol Hey Pol, I AR'd the same person as well today. To start with I did what I always do and ask them not to send me any more spam. The responses I got were so far from business-like that in the end I IM'd and confirmed with a Linden that unsolicited notecards were against the TOS (they are) and then AR'd them. The attitude I got back from my request to not be spammed again in future was unreal. _____________________

I guess this is an example of the balls you grow when the organization you work for owns 60+ sims; I imagine you must get a real sense of entitlement. They're basically daring LL to take action against a major revenue source. Honestly, I'm not surprised, as I've always found the proprietor of anshechung.com (whose name escapes me at the moment) to be rather arrogant, and I'm sure that attitude filters down throughout the organization.

That would be annoying. I was toying around with P2P the other day, popping from sim to sim, seeing the sights. An interestingly named sim turned out to be a suburban-style homes for rent island. On my arrival, I was IM'd re whether I wanted to rent, I politely declined and noted that I was just visiting. I then received more insistent IMs, even a half hour later when I had long since departed.
Talk about having no idea how to sell. _____________________

I can see it now, Anshe Employees start carpet bombing enitire sims with physics bombs in WWII replica aircraft to force people into selling their sims to expand Dreamland. Sometimes I wonder who is making AnsheCorp's business practices look worse: Anshe, her Employees, or both.

It's the real estate business...If one owns real estate, one is likely to either buy more someday, or sell someday: just like in RL. I own my own home and on a weekly basis I get a couple of postcards from Realtors, telling me what has sold in my neighborhood and, oh, if I'm interested, give them a call.
If I'm interested, maybe I'll call 'em. If I'm not, the postcard goes into the recycling bin. Same thing in SL... |
