From: Yuzuru Jewell Yiffy Yaffle-- Your opinion is right. However, because I made the tool, I appreciate Linden Lab^^.
I think the pro version is ok to have a cost, since it provides extra features and abilities. ;p Rocuro/Tokoroten are the only sculpty tools i use because blender/wings3D are just too complicated for me.

Hi Yuzuru, thank you for releasing the new version of Rokuro, it looks really nice, I was wondering if you will be making a Mac version, I realize that it is maybe more work than you want to get into to maintain two versions and if you're not planning to that is fine, I'll buy the Windows version right away, but I'd rather use a Mac version if you will be making it. Best Wishes.

From: Yuzuru Jewell I released ROKURO Pro. It is 2980L$. It is downloadable from the following URL. http://kanae.net/secondlife/ Please try it. Eirynne Sieyes-- I am happy to have you be glad. He plans to strengthen the tool further. Yiffy Yaffle-- Your opinion is right. However, because I made the tool, I appreciate Linden Lab^^. FD Spark-- Because I spent much time on the development of this tool, I did not make this tool cheap. I want you to be able to purchase this tool. I expect that the employer who evaluates this tool will appear. Pratyeka Muromachi-- If many people purchase my tool, I will be going to make a group and to invite people who purchased to a group. Last night I used Rokuro pro and PS to make wooden window bars (10 vertical wooden bars, 1 prim) to replace the flat texture on my Horyuji pagoda. This opens up a huge reduction on prims in my buildings. I'm going to buy it right now. Thanks a million for your great work.

Playing with others
09-18-2007 08:05
I'm trying to see how well Rokuro Pro "plays with others", so I saved a model out of Rokuro Pro as an OBJ file. I imported it into Wings3D and then immediately exported it back out and reloaded the new OBJ file into Rokuro Pro. It read back in fine. I tried the same procedure with ZBrush 3.1. Unfortunately the file that I ran through ZB did not read back into RP. Finally, I tried running the original file through UV Mapper Pro. Again I didn't do anything with the file other than loading it and immediately saving it (ie import/export). Like ZB, the file run through UV Mapper Pro could not be read by RP. Any suggestions? Is there something else I need to be doing?

I updated ROKURO Pro to 1.34
09-18-2007 22:44
I updated ROKURO Pro to 1.34. The changed part is as follows. -The fault of the import of a ROKURO/TOKOROTEN text file was corrected. -The zoom of the preview was smoothed. -The upper limit and lower limit of the zoom were set up. -The save was changed into the specification which is not made unless View Level is Near. Please try to download from http://kanae.net/secondlife/To Lundon Little Thank you for checking cooperation with other tools about OBJ file. In the OBJ file output, I am checking the mutual exchange only by Wingsthree dimensional. It seems that treatment changes with tools. If other tools change the sequence of a field, it cannot treat in ROKURO Pro. I am going to add to ReadMe.txt by the next updation. To Raloc Dorado The development of ROKURO of the Mac version has stopped. Because I have tools to still make, I am going to develop on Windows. To Yiffy Yaffle I am happy to get you to be glad. I expect that you will be further glad with the tool which I'll make next. To Pratyeka Muromachi I am happy to be able to give you a help. I am happy to check that it is convenient that the file of Photoshop can be used.

Yes, I had subsequently noticed that Wings3D is the key for using other modellers. I have been having good results with the following work flow. - Start the model in RP. - Export as an OBJ and import into the other modeller. (I've tested it with ZBrush and Hexagon.) - In the modeller program modify the OBJ. - Export out an OBJ file. - Import the OBJ file into Wings3D and immediately export it out again. - Open the (Wings3d) OBJ file in RP. - Texture away, using Paint Shop Pro - Save the file out of RP as a TGA - Bring it in to SL - Strut around SL saying look what I just made

Unless I've missed something, noone is going to know that this program is available unless they read this thread. I think someone (other than a newbee who only has a few posts- me) should shout out to the (second) world with a new post letting everyone know about this really nice program.

My first project with the pro version today was to make wooden ceiling beam. I'm happy to say I've succeeded brilliantly. I was able to replace 8 square wooden ceiling beam with 1 sculpty. Complete with wood texture. That should save me 320 prims on my Horyuji pagoda. And I'm only just started.
The bitmap control is great to cleanup the edges, or to create curves that no other control can.
As for publicity, I mention Rokuro and Tokoroten to everyone who see my stuff inworld.
Question: the new versions use the same password to unlock?
Thank you so much Yuzuru for this great program.

Have you kept-up with win XP updates? Because I don't have this problem. maybe a conflict with another program? I'm no expert on this.

User name and password?
09-20-2007 12:12
After unzipping Rokuro Pro trial, I got a pop-up requesting "Secondlife User name and Password" dialog. I canceled of course, but what is this? Anyone else. BTW using Firefox.

read this thread. That's to input your registration password. You need to buy the registration password generator box inworld. it will give you a password to register the software.

I am sorry that I did not reply sooner to you.

To Rockwell Maltz Thank you for the bug report. Although I tested by XP and Vista, the problem which you reported didn't occur. Does the error always take place? I want you to tell the error message displayed.
To Lundon Little Thank you for writing the procedure of Wings3D. I am going to write this to my homepage.
To Yrrek Gran Pratyeka Muromachi already explained correctly. Thank you, Pratyeka Muromachi. If a user name and a password are entered, limitation of Trial will cancel. I want you to check whether there is any problem in operation at Trial. I am also a Firefox user. Since google notebook can be used by Vista, I am using Firefox.
To Pratyeka Muromachi Thank you very much for your support. And I am very glad to be able to give you a help. I expect that the load of a server will decrease. I also built my building using H-BEAM made from sculpted prim. I expect that a unique building will be made.

Yeah, I don't feel safe inputting my username & password into anything but the real SL client. I don't even think the ToS allows me to do this. But if I don't do it, I will not be able to use this wonderful piece of software

Speaking of registering password is this one time thing or do you have to do it every time? I have had time to use the Rokuro Pro once. If this is to be entered every time what happens if I lose the information with the box I have purchased? Is their any type of tutorial for Mage? Thanks to the generousity of Dnali I got the program and I even convinced a friend to buy also. Thank you Dnali for your gift. Thank you Yuzuru for your efforts its very appreciated at least by me. FD P.S White you entering your registeration number that you've recieved when you buy item. Just click the box and it will whisper to your password.

BUG Error Message: Winxp (updated), I have a registered version of Rokuro Pro, bought it sometime this week. I get this error prompt when I shut down program (which doesn't shut down):
???????? ???
EGLContext??????? ROKURO_PRO.exe? 000B95A1 ???????? context activation failed: C0070006, .
I close this and I then get the prompt to "send error", which I close too. I then get another prompt:
Run time error 216 at 7C918FEA
This happens over and over until I "alt ctrl delete" and manually turn off Rokuro_pro.exe in my Processes.

new feature suggestions
09-23-2007 04:55
Yuzuru: I have used Rokuro pro for a week now and would like to make a few suggestions in the hope to make some parts easier to use.
1- In the bitmap tab, a display of the RGB values of selected pixel. Ex: I select the 34 square, the RGB values displayed show 124,078,210. That would help in copying those values to other area, to line them up.
2- to be able to export the grid used in the bitmap tab as a .psd or .tga file. To be used in a paint program for reference when making textures. It would help in lining up the texture to the sculpty properly.
3- This one might not be possible; selectable vertex point on the 3D model in the 3D window. That would make life much easier when some cleanup is needed.
Thank you again for your great software.

I bought the Pro version yesterday too (well, my alt did), and I using the programme is fine, but whenever I exit it (via the menu), Windows XP pops up its "this programme had to be closed due to an error, do you want to send a report" window. It doesn't give a reason though.

So I was right not to give out my SL password! I have to say this procedure was totally unclear to me; the website and the initial messages in this thread gave me the impression I was downloading free software. I am not saying it is unfair to charge for this product; it seems very cool. And where in SL do I go to buy a license?

Yes, I was confused too on how to buy the product. I thought the free product was the old product.
