-The option saved in a BMP file format was added.

Yuzuru, thank you for adding this feature! This will help make it easier to import a Sculpt Map from ROKURO into Wings 3D!

Unfortunately, I tried the ROKURO 1.01 BMP feature and had some problems. I created a shape in ROKURO 1.01 using TGA Size (128x128) and Points (33). If I save it as a BMP, the shape is distorted when I import it into Wings 3D. However, if I save it as a TGA, convert to BMP in Photoshop, then import into Wings 3D, it works well.

Im sorry, but I am not technical enough to know why this happens...but just thought you should know.

I tried it using 2 different versions of the Wings 3D exporter (wpc_sculpty_062107 and wpc_sculpty_080707). They both had the same issue.

BTW, I mentioned the donation situation at the top of my tutorials. Hopefully this will encourage more people to donate :)

Thank you for your continuing efforts on creating these tools!

Yuzuru--
Great stuff.

I've only created one test sculpty (with your first release of ROKURO, but that is due only to time contraints, not your programs :D

I've been meaning to donate for some time, but I procrastinate way too much.

Once I get back in-world, I'll be donating some L$ to help support your effort.

Tools like yours are invaluable and deserve support when/where possible.

Thanks again Yuzuru!

Because I would like to consider your advice, I want 2 or 3-day time.

And Natalia Zelmanov, Thank you for the information about Wings 3D.
I updated ROKURO and TOKOROTEN for Wings 3D.
I checked that it could use by wpc_sculpty_080707.

Yuzuru--

Just something very minor, nothing to do with function; your change log for ROKURO on the website says v 1.06 instead of v1.02.

p.s. I donated directly to you, not your donation box, so be sure to mark it down as a donation for your efforts with these tools (in case you are trying to keep track)

Yuzuru,
I hope this is okay to post this here but I wanted to everyone to see what this person has
done with Rokuro and she charging 550 for tutorials from Yuzuru's product.
Did you give this person permission to charge for tutorials on your program?
I made negative comment. If you gave this person permission please forgive me.

Awsome!
08-17-2007 07:06
No problem with the Rokuro Manual. That's great! Third party "how to" manuals exist for many commercial and freeware applications. For example, "Photoshop for Dummies," etc.

What this tells me Yuzuru is that you have a winner! Your products are catching on! WOW!

Time to take your products out of the beta development stage and charge something.

Congratulations!

Ps: I'm loath to spend Linden for products not delivered in-world, but if you use this board to me email me your email address, I'll send you a Paypal donation. ;D

Yuzuru wrote me in world and didn't give anyone permission to make money selling tuturials or anything related to his product.
I just hope this doesn't make him so upset or sad he quits doing updates.
It is pretty crappy thing in my opinion to do to him and I told the person in comments that.
The thing is Yuzuru was actually thinking of canceling doing any future updates because he not getting really very much even donations to develope product has discouraged him.
I have donated what I can I really wish it was more.
It just sort of irks me that someone making money off his product and didn't even mention the creator or even ask permission directly from him.

Reference to Rokuro in my new book
08-17-2007 11:24
Yuzuru, I just wanted to let you know I really liked you tool as well. I used Rokuro and referenced your site in the Sculpted Prims section of the Build chapter of my new book which should be out in a few weeks. Keep up the good work.

FREE hosting for your software.

From: Yuzuru Jewell
I updated ROKURO to 1.01.
Because there is not sufficient donation to maintain a site, I worry about whether public presentation is continued. I may have to stop releasing ROKURO and TOKOROTEN as free software in the near future. I am thankful to people who donated for ROKURO and TOKOROTEN, however I want me to also understand my condition.

If the download bandwidth is a problem, you may qualify to use sourceforge. net

They host open source projects for free, and they do not have to be Linux or UNIX projets.

I'm a professional technical writer ...

If you need tutorials and user manuals, I might be able to help. :)

It is 100% legal to write and sell your own tutorials for other people's product. But I hope that person didn't rip off Sirena's wording, because I'm mean enough to check!

I know the person who did the tutorial and she would have assumed that it was just a 3rd Party how to..(and her tutorial would have been more slanted to making something like a bowl of fruit) however, it does bring up the point that people who are generous enough to develop software must be protected and rewarded.

Rokuro probably should have had a limited beta test group and then be put up for sale.

I hope that has the product is refined, it is sold. And possibly in a package with this how to as the person who wrote the tutorial does have a good rep in SL as a builder and teacher and would have meant no harm. It would be better to make a good business alliance in this case I think. Her tutorial may increase demand for his product as well.

I donated...I always do..I think we need to reward generosity.

I hope he is working on awesome version he will then set for sale.

Last night some friends and i were discussing "business in a box" tutorials in SL over voice chat. When it got brought up, i was thinking about the tutorial listed above here. My friend said "people think that these boxed kits will make them rich quick, but the only person getting rich quick is the person selling them". lol

Tomorrow, I'll release a new tool.
09-14-2007 00:24
Thank you for much opinion. I am sorry not to make a reply immediately.

I made the still more powerful tool and it decided to charge.
I am sorry not to make a reply until a tool is finished.
A new tool will be exhibited tomorrow. It is a code name. It is ROKURO Pro currently called AGARI.
ROKURO Pro mainly has the following functionalities.

1) New rendering engine A form can be exactly outputted from ROKURO.
2) It has the great portion of yesterday of ROKURO and TOKOROTEN, and they can be used together.
3) The location of all the controls can be edited.
4) The new edit mode "MAGE". A musical instrument, an accessory, and a neon sign can be made easily.
5) It outputs to an OBJ file and cooperation with other 3D tools can be performed.
6) The position-sensitive-detector file of Photoshop is mapped and 3D object can be previewed.
7) Previewed 3D object can be easily moved with a mouse and wheel.

Because ROKURO Pro draws using OpenGL, it is stabilized like SecondLife and it operates.
Even if an error comes out, the data currently created will be hard to be lost because application is not downed.

In order to check an operation, the trial employment period for three days was prepared. I want you to try by all means.

FD Spark--
Although I worried about the tutorial, in order to introduce at my site, it has contacted to the author.
Although it is sad that I did not have you connect in advance, I would like to have the generosity for which her activity is thanked.

Dnali Anabuki--
I was encouraged by your opinion. According to your advice, I contacted the author of the tutorial. In fact, I am looking for the job now.
I would like to find a new job by ROKURO. Therefore, I decided to leave free ROKURO. If possible, please introduce the employer who says may employ the Japanese who made ROKURO ^^ .

Ansel Gasparini--
Thank you for introducing my site to a book. I am very happy. Because this book can be purchased in Japan, I am going to purchase it. It is regrettable that I cannot ask your sine of my book.

Yiffy Yaffle--
I was encouraged by your opinion. May the new tool be helpful to you!

Eirynne Sieyes--
My eyes were opened by your opinion. I regard me who saw and lamented the charged tutorial as shameful. I am going to make a still more unique tool.

Nefertiti Nefarious--
I need your assistance. Although I cannot pay money, I want you to profit by the tutorial of my tool.

Trevor Langdon--
Thank you for having a mistake pointed out. The site was corrected.

Dear Yuzuru,

WOW! I can't wait to see your tool in action! This looks like something I would have no problem paying for!

Good luck with it and I hope you make a
TON of Linden!

*hugs*

Thats some nice additions. Can't wait to see it for myself. ^_^

Linden Lab should have built a way to create sculpties using SL's editing window or something. We need at least 1 free way to do this. Since you can create a normal prim in SL for free i think sculpties should be the same. :)

I released a new tool ROKURO Pro.
09-14-2007 22:12
I released ROKURO Pro. It is 2980L$.
It is downloadable from the following URL.
http://kanae.net/secondlife/
Please try it.

Eirynne Sieyes--
I am happy to have you be glad. He plans to strengthen the tool further.

Yiffy Yaffle--
Your opinion is right. However, because I made the tool, I appreciate Linden Lab^^.

FD Spark--
Because I spent much time on the development of this tool, I did not make this tool cheap.
I want you to be able to purchase this tool. I expect that the employer who evaluates this tool will appear.

Pratyeka Muromachi--
If many people purchase my tool, I will be going to make a group and to invite people who purchased to a group.
