Why everyone is so mad?

Don't you see that Big Brother is watching you? You are just people, you can't think by yourself. You need government to think for you. Spend millions in taxes so the government can protect you better. Same goes here, LL is protecting you from all danger, they closed casinos so you don't get drunk and spend all your tier money.

There can't be banks in SL, because you are too stupid to run a bank. Guys at Wall Street are so smart, they know how to run the banks, They don't give credit to people who can't afford it. they didn't put entire world into recession, because they are professionals, look at you - you are just a silly avatar. Big Brother is watching you and protects you every single day.

Homestad sim? Let me get this right, you as a customer wanted to pay LESS... LESS? (less?) tier for your sim and have same stuff like on regular sim? It can't be.. You need to pay more man, so we can protect you better. If you want a cheaper sim you are not a good citizen. Paying less is like cheating. You are a cheater!

Adult content? Come on... who cares if all of you go out of business. The idea is good, the new policy is great! You people just suck, you dont understand the bigger picture! Ah good so does everyone now agree that if anyone actually performs due diligence and checks stuff out they will discover that Linden Lab's "Account Verification" is about as good as they need to be from a legal liability perspective and we can let that topic hear the sound of crickets or will there still be some people in here pushing for draconian mandatory identity verification that will be so dumb sounding that it turns potential new residents away faster than a random encounter with a freenis?

I've been out of town for a day and came home to find that the 'Ursula Sucks!' protest poster had been taken down for being placed in the wrong category - 'Miscellaneous'

I've removed one of my shops from a sim I know is going to adult content in order to free up a space for any small sized, renting, adult content producer so at least one person won't be totally crushed by this move. If you need a spot, go to Gentle Hearts sim and ask for Terrybear or Slurpngo Kass.

Aristotle is not the only way to verify.
Unfortunately, this information is not provided on the Verification link on the accounts page.
(( To LL this needs a fix. pleas ad the info on other options to that page ))
However, The other option still may not help you depending on where you are.

These option are:
Entering payment info (without actually paying) on your account page.
This can be done with credit card or through PayPal.
or:
Spending RL money on Xstreet both Credit Card & PayPal also work here.
or:
Actually having a paid SL account.
this also continues to count even after down grading.

Pleas note: Only going PIU(paid account) seems to automatically update every time.
The other option may require you to send a ticket if it does not.
( I will make separate post on that later)

But they've also added some new content in SL very recently, like the Tut thing.

I am PIU I am supposed to be able to get into AV area's according to LL if I can't to put a ticket in which I did.

Reply was to empty cache and try again, if it failed to reopen ticket...as I'd allready tried that before ticket was opened in the first place, I have come the the conclusion that its broken and that this isn't going to work leaving many with a totally sound of music experience, or quitting.

I think when traffic drops 20% or maybe even 40% some linden lab people will get the sack and the barn door shut once the horse has bolted, until then, they will plough on in the usual manor of self righteous ignorance.

The other choice is to spend some money via SL or XStreet, which will verify your account to access the adult material. That's "account verification", which is different from "Age verification" (aristotle system), but either one will for for getting adult access within the game.

It is not correct that it is impossible for non-USA players to age verify. It all depends on the databases Aristotle uses.

Within the USA, I expect they are using state driver's license and/or credit card databases. There are known to be false positives (Like using Elvis Presley, who has been dead for 30 years), and false negatives (people who have lived for many years in one place not being able to verify cause of wrong address in the data).

For other countries, it depends both on them getting any database at all, then on the correctness of the data. This will vary by country.

Here there is a problem, at least in Brazil.

The majority of credit cards here are not international. International CC are very rare. Both to enter CC info in SL or Xstreet, or to have a verified account in PayPal, one must have an International CC, so "entering payment info" or "spending in Xstreet", both using CC directly or using PayPal, falls in the same problem: few Brazilians have International CCs.

For those, there is Aristotle, that fails to about 50%.

If we didn't have so many clowns suing everyone when they slipped on wet pavers or poked themselves in the eye with a pencil, the governments wouldn't have to spnd billions protecting us physically and legally for every possible injury, last week our safety commitee did a 2 page Risk Assesment and SOP on a rechargable torch!

Maybe if we didn't have people scripting their own "rip the sucker off" gambling systems and so many suckers then gambling might have stayed.

Maybe if we didn't have so many "Give my anoymous avatar all your money and watch me disappear" and suckers giving them the money, inworld banks might have stayed.

Actually inworld banks are still allowed as long as they are approved and verified by LL.

A few hundred votes from avatars all at the same IP address perhaps?

As I said this may not help you depending on where you are,
but it is another option for some.

I've been reading the comments on the JIRA. Hope Drier said she looked at the candidate word list for words considering being banned. Um...There's a list? Where? o.O;

Also, she says Master is a candidate word, so Jedi Masters will have to move their Star Warsy butts to Ursula.

btw Wynochee, if you also cancelled your premium payments, make sure you remove all payment details from your account. that way you won't get hit for next months tier it seems.

I noticed the Official Wiki pages are now returned as results for Search/All tab. In particular entering "Adult" brings up the main Adult Wiki page (three times no less, but that's just sloppy search indexing).

Therefore, a way to help new people find out about all this is to fix up those pages, and create new Wiki pages to cover likely search terms.

We need to make it more obvious "how to find and access the adult stuff".

Once those pages are fixed up, we can tell newbies "Enter Adult into seach to learn how"
