I meant about what they've said the plan is so far. I'm not seeing the rules for mature mainland changing except for business owners.

Actually, they tend to think that of most everyone. Most of the stupid comments can be filtered by choosing to read the ones with 3 or more moderation points.

(which is where my suggestion to filter who can enter land came from. The one where people vote on other players, and only ones above a certain number of points can enter land if the landowner chooses that access flag.)

if someone thinks they have mature content and gets turned down then you can guarantee there will be those out there who *know* it is mature content and will lodge an AR accordingly.

Dear LL, how will the following scenario play out in SL?

2 or more people live on private, mature, 1024m2 plot. They are nice people, they have a park on the ground with lovely sculpty trees, a fountain, a swing (they are swingers).

They rated their experience preference as "Adults". They take frequent trips to Ursula, and bring back pirate booty. On one such trip they buy an adult movie and decide to watch it in the privacy of their own skybox at 4095.9 meters high. They do it high and away from the prying eyes of strangers because they do their best to follow the rules of SL.

A random person flies by the parcel and notices its beauty. This person rated their experience to be "Mature". Perhaps they want want to be a Star Wars bounty hunter and concentrate on combat and skip anything to do with sex.

As this person enters the parcel, they hear sounds of an almost human nature. They proceed to click on the "About Land" tab, click the media settings and there, in the little media texture box... OMG MY EYES!

Will the couple viewing their adult movies at 4000+ meters and in assumed privacy be liable? Have they affected the predictability of SL for the person who is "Mature". How might this play out for the G-Team?

How about the same scenario except that the couple in question decided to listen to a 24x7 broadcast of "7 dirty words" by George Carlin?

Blondin has repeatedly stated that if you have "public" or "advertised" sexually oriented material you will need to locate it on a mature region. The definition of "public" and "advertising" is nebulous, but it doesn't just mean "businesses". I have asked him many many questions about the distinction, and:

1. Word of mouth might be considered advertising.
2. An advertised parcel can have a private area containing sexually oriented material, so long as that material is not advertised or readily visible.
3. Sexually oriented materials INSIDE HOUSES or in skyboxes do not have to be on an adult region, but a nude beach with sex balls will.
4. Intent matters. Which means "what the Linden who responds to an AR perceives as the intent" matters.

So true....I predict mainland will be totally covered by red fences rendering it totally useless to navigate (hates red fences)

Right, but factually it is possible to restrict parcel access to age-verified only, regardless of whether the land is PG, Mature, or Adult. Why would one do such a thing? Well, if (*if*) one believed that Aristotle IDV actually increased the likelihood of an account being of-age, then one might choose that option to screen out the kiddies. One may desire that result even if there's nothing naughty on the parcel. And if it is actually an Adult region, then one still might not trust payment info as a reliable indicator of age (one shouldn't), and want to insist on IDV specifically, on the premise that it might be more effective.

Heres the final word from LL regarding me selling an ass (Equus africanus asinus, a domesticated member of the Equidae or horse family, and an odd-toed ungulate) which I was selling on Xstreetsl with all proceeds going to cancer research:

No offense to those who enjoy such things, but generally, I don't consider equines in my adult play. [EDIT: except as a steed to get me to the locale of that play]
