I am a woman, but i'm not all that fussed about getting further equal rights for women. The way I see it there's a lot greater injustices in the world than sexism which is now a mostly muted prejudice with very small teath.

I am not only talking about 'sexism".

I am referring to women not getting jobs because they might get pregnant... I talking about women with equal experience and education not getting the same raises and promotions as male colleagues. In that field there is still a lot to do...

And yes, there other injustices that also need to be taken care of.

There is still a long way to go.

Morwen.

I feel since the institution of marriage and the word marriage belongs to the Christian religions,

Leviate marriages do, but the term marriage is recognised in law. Church and law is seperate in America.

Here's a video going into some depths about what the bible ACTUALLY says about homosexuality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzWhEAEEHfc

...I feel since the institution of marriage and the word marriage belongs to the Christian religions, that a compromise is the best for all...

So in your eyes, non-Christians don't get married? Keep going, you'll soon alienate and offend everyone.

No, the best I can suggest is an on-line translator if you know an English word that will translate to one you are stuck on. If unsure, just insert a few double constanents.

No, the term marriage as being defined between one man and one woman could be privatized, not only by certain Christian religions but others, Judaism for instance. The Bible does not forbid unbelievers to marry or inter faith marriages. The Bible states it is better for a couple to be united in their spiritual beliefs but is not a requirement for a man and woman to be allowed to marry in the Bible.

That's it. Privatize marriage. You get married by going to a state bonded marriage agency and fulfilling whatever requirements they have, and they give you a form that says "Joe and Sally are married" or "Joe and Bill and Sally are married". If you don't like their requirements, you go to another agency and see what they have to offer. Let the market define marriage.

Benjamin Franklin would be the first to agree.
