Amusing true anecdote:
So my mother goes to her beautician the other day. It is a family-run business so after school it's not unusual for the children to be there for awhile.
One of the little boys - age 6 - came up and asked my mother if she was alive when Martin Luther King was. My mother said yes. The little boy thought for awhile and solemnly said, "You must be about....90 then."
Now when I was that age, 40 sounded ancient to me...so thoughts from a child's perspective are interesting.
My mother said "Oh no, I'm not 90." The little boy thought awhile longer and said, "Oh, you must be 93!"
I was dying laughing when my mother was telling me all this. Reminds me of the old Art Linkletter spot "Kids say the Darndest Things."

From: Czari Zenovka Pllleeeaaassseee send some of those meds over to me. /temporary derail on I'm pulling my hair out trying to make my final Gimp project for class: A business shirt with placket, collar, buttons down the front, cuffs with buttons...all on different layers. THEN another shirt photosourced and a THIRD photosourced but touched up in Gimp. I managed to get the base shirt made but have this funky black part showing at the top. Anyone good with Gimp that can explain things linearly...anyone...please? /derail off GIMP - what 'intuitively obvious' means when filtered by a committee.

From: Tarina Sewell that would fall under... she has nothing to gain... Or nothing to lose ... but not due to being "too young to have anything to lose" or "too old to have anything to gain".

'Course, politics being what they are, we may take us all out before its over... Tired of waiting for a legitimate or illegitimate Friday thread to appear - going out for pizza. Ledos rocks.

From: Cael Merryman We brought your generation into life, we can take you out! (Due apologies to Bill Cosby). I LOVE that routine by Bill Cosby. Along with his routine about going to the dentist...and his comment that giving birth is akin to trying to pull your lower lip over your head. Great stuff, that.

From: Tod69 Talamasca OMG! YES! I still have the Fast Load cartridge! I lost count of the hours playing Racing Destruction Set. Especially a track with the gravity of the Moon! I love the moon gravity ones. Build a jump and sail off forever. Hey, isn't that like a sim crossing?
