From: Pserendipity Daniels There's none so blind as those that will not see. I bring enlightenment throughout Residents Answers, exposing emotional arguments as the nonsense they are and highlighting flawed thought processes. See what I mean? You bring badness throughout Resident Answers, purely for the sake of being nasty. You *have* to be retarded to write what I quoted. Btw, I only got that far in your post. I didn't read the rest as you'd already hung yourself with that bit.

From: Phil Deakins First paragraph: That's the only but that is worth responding to. Pep: I am not the slightest bit interested in what you are concerned with.
Most of your fault-finiding is about the way that posts are written. Sometimes, as in the 'linebacker' comment, they are just out of the blue and nasty - for the sake of being nasty.
Why? because you caused that outburst. You wrote things for the sake of being nasty, and you pick and pick and pick at it. It culminated in driving one person away completely, and in that outburst. You still pick at it, by posting it in other threads - and you caused it all. You don't have a concience. You're just a nasty retard. Nothing new or insightful to say then? Pep (But I notice that you have decided not to bother editing your posts any more.)

From: Phil Deakins I'm only going by what you say. I've never posted in that thread and I only look in it when there's something specific to look for - like Pep quoting that outburst more than once. A number of people have made comments in the threads like this one, though, and I haven't seen anyone say that the outburst wasn't merited - only that the content of it was wrong. I haven't even seen you say that an outburst against Pep was merited. You have seen me say that outburst was NOT MERITED. That is my opinion. Pep could have stopped needling her. Mute could have been used. People could have quit quoting him. It was a group effort and there were alternatives to That Outburst. Any sensible adult knows this. It is as plain as day to me that those words should not have been written for ANY reason and there were any number of preemptive remedies to being goaded into any outburst, at all. From: Phil Deakins You are not "game", fair or otherwise. You are someone who is discussing this topic from a particular point of view, that's all. Nonsense. It has happened in this forum, another forum, in IM and in PM. I just never threw a tantrum in response. From: Phil Deakins To be honest, I don't recall ever having seen a post by Pep that answered an OP's question, or that passed on useful information in a thread. I only ever see him write posts that are either intended to be humorous or unnecessary fault-finding. That is untrue. He has certainly provided non-derailing, non-critical information on at least one occasion. From: Phil Deakins Well, I can say truthfully that, if I affected someone to that extent, I would feel really down about it. Perhaps I am more sensitive than you. That's not to say that I've never been the cause of such feelings, and I've felt very down on occasions. I think the worst one in this forum was with someone (I forget who) when we wound each other up really badly. We got together in IMs to calm things down. Pep's reaction to such things is to have "an easy concience". I'm sorry, Laurin, but it's all as plain as day. If I affected someone to the extent that they wished death on me is a number of graphic ways in a public forum, I would be quite shocked. I don't deserve any such thing, in my opinion, and if someone snapped like that, I would be looking at the larger picture. That is equally plain to me.

From: Pserendipity Daniels Pep (But I notice that you have decided not to bother editing your posts any more.) You notice nothing. I haven't posted today without editing the post afterwards. You didn't know that there is a period after posting, during which edits can be made withoiut them showing up as having been edited? I think this will be my first unedited post today ETA: I was wrong.

Sorry about the derail, Scylla I've never really been griefed in any spectacular way. Rude comments from morons, but those are easily dealt with...umn...being knocked into a river in a sim long gone if I went AFK, but that was the done thing...once a Spanish lady went nuts on my with a huge tirade and a gun. I was with my Portuguese ex who more or less gleaned she was in the midst of some romantic debaucle, thought I was involved in it (no!) and was also upset with the style of Seville flamenco I was dancing when in a virtual Barcelona. By the end of the rumpus we were howling laughing and friended. My advice is to roll with it, blow it off and not take it personally. It serves me well.

ETA: I was wrong. So you have deliberately left all of your errors in your posts today then? Pep (Or perhaps you didn't realise that you had made them; "conscience" is such a difficult word, isn't it.)

I don't dispute that there were things that could have prevented the eventual outcome but it was Pep at the centre, "needling her", that caused the outburst. It was merited - well deserved.. From: Laurin Sorbet Nonsense. It has happened in this forum, another forum, in IM and in PM. I just never threw a tantrum in response. Alright. I'll make it clearer... FOR ME, you are not "game", fair or otherwise. You are someone who is discussing this topic from a particular point of view, that's all. From: Laurin Sorbet That is untrue. I don't think anyone thinks that death was merited. I suppose we're different, then. You would look at the larger picture, and I would look inward at myself and feel very down that I'd gone so far as to cause such feelings in someone that they wrote that stuff.

I don't dispute that there were things that could have prevented the eventual outcome but it was Pep at the centre, "needling her", that caused the outburst. It was merited - well deserved.. So if I were to flip out right now I could claim justification that you are misunderstanding me and no amount of clarification seems to solve that? Not merited. The needling was not sufficient to provoke an outburst. Not from me anyhow, therefor in my opinion, not merited. From: Phil Deakins FOR ME, you are not "game", fair or otherwise. You are someone who is discussing this topic from a particular point of view, that's all. This could be a semantics thing. I used fair game in the meaning of fair target. And the 'one' was humor. From: Phil Deakins I don't think anyone thinks that death was merited. I suppose we're different, then. You would look at the larger picture, and I would look inward at myself and feel very down that I'd gone so far as to cause such feelings in someone that they wrote that stuff. I would look at the larger picture because I was there for both of these outbursts. Is he being a PITA now? Yup. And out come terms like 'retard'. Come on.

I'm not needling you, or picking on you. We're merely having a discussion. You said that Pep was needling her and, knowing the sort of posts that he writes, I believe you. From: Laurin Sorbet Is he being a PITA now? Yup. And out come terms like 'retard'. Come on. I genuinely think that he's not all there. I honestly think that he is lacking in the concience department. What else can I think when he continues to find fault with people, causes a lot of ill will and bad feelings in people, even to the extent of driving someone away and causing that phenomenal outburst, and still sleeps peacefully with a clear concience?

It is all a matter of perception, isn't it? I already had my say so it isn't a discussion anymore, it is irritating now. From: Phil Deakins I genuinely think that he's not all there. Grand, you are very welcome to your thoughts. The ouburster is welcome to her thoughts. Pep is welcome to his thoughts. I am welcome to my thoughts, which are of oranges, skin fairs, and fuzzy bunnies.
