Your actual words were 'extreme sexual activities', where the 'extreme' in this thread was all about extreme violence towards women. If that is not what you intended, then I am sorry for making the leap.

Not at all. I am making the point that all the arguments I am hearing in this thread I have heard before from the ageplayers when it became clear that ageplay was about to be outlawed in SL.

Whenever I see an exact same argument, I point it out, and challenge those who support extreme violence towards women in RP, but who do NOT support ageplay, to examine their arguments closely.

Actually, its very simple. Sexual Ageplay, as done in RL, involves two adults, one of them pretending to be an age other than they really are - that's the truest definition, not the paedo variation that it has become. Some of it skims the line (schoolboy/girl outfits), and some crossed it (wanting younger). You can be against taking ageplay to those extremes and still be ok with the rest. SL made it more specific, instead of just dressing up as a certain age, you now have the avatar looking that way.... that the youngest edge of ageplay was portrayed so visually concerns people even more.


So yes, people can be quite accepting of having consensual roleplay involving collars, forced sex, and all other kinds of things, but not be comfortable with the version of sexual ageplay which is banned in SL.

Actually there are places in the US and europe where pre-marital sex is banned.

So you sir are not playing by the laws of many locations in the Us or Europe

And BDM is banned in some places as well, and for someone claiming not to have pets... you really need to change your profile... it makes you look scummy to claim something in one place and deny it in another.

In other words, you are implying that the people you are arguing with engage in or support the activity that you are arguing about. I don't engage in, support, encourage, or otherwise promote violent role-play of any kind (and I've said that) but I do not support banning any form of role-play (including age-play, and I've said that too).

My opposition is purely on the basis that this kind of ban is the first step on a slippery slope.

Given that you, if you were a police officer, would issue a caution over a joke, and given that someone has been found guilty of pedophilia over a Simpsons cartoon, I think I have reason to believe that we're already tobogganing down the slope even as we speak, and setting the brakes HERE and NOW is nothing less than essential.

You were hearing these arguments from a lot of people who weren't ageplayers back then. You are hearing them from people who aren't into rape fantasy now.

FWIW, SL is allowed in Saudi Arabia. I have a girlfriend there with whom I keep in touch via SL.
