I saw the last guy on TV exercising his free speech in a hall during a speech by Obama being hauled off out of the room. Free speech, yeah, right. Rock You can't just go anywhere and start spouting off at will. That is not covered under Freedom of Speech. |

I saw the last guy on TV exercising his free speech in a hall during a speech by Obama being hauled off out of the room. Free speech, yeah, right. Rock Big difference. One is disruption of a speaker's presentation, heckling if you will, and the other is an artist performing for a an audience who want to hear him. In case 1, yes a heckler would be asked to leave or be taken away if he can't be respectful of the speaker while he is making his speech.Not to jail though, unless he acted violently or in a threatening manner. It would most likely result in a disorderly conduct ticket, a misdemeanor. In the 2nd case, Chris is right, no cop in his right mind would try to "warn" a comedian about his act without proper cause and procedure. That stopped after Lenny Bruce. _____________________

Clearly stating what it is that you want changed, what you would do as an ALTERNATIVE, why it should be an important issue, what would be improved by eliminating such things etc would be a good place to start anytime. This (except for 'the alternative' part - I dont want them soap boxing about their vision of a drone filled same-brain 'inclusive community' for 50 more pages). Notice how they have yet to do it. Nothing but posturing and blog-flogging. Diversion like posting stories of things anyone would agree are tragic, claiming that's what they're actually on about. As if we're all 12 and haven't heard the sad stories of the world before. Oh and the "come let me save you so you can kneel at MY feet, as a pet" along with the other stunningly ironic/hypocritical posts by a certain Master. Give me someone who's in full admittance of their own Shadow any day, over these deluded types. |

1) There is plenty of literature on this though Jezebella. For example, "Force in Women's Sexual Fantasies", Donald S. Strassberg, Lisa K. Lockerd; Archives of Sexual Behavior, Vol. 27, 1998 Discussed here: An important difference exists between a desired forceful sexual fantasy and an undesired actual rape. Beyond the obvious difference that, in the former, no actual violation of body and will is experienced, the fantasist also has complete control, while a lack of control characterizes rape. And in quoting all that (and more in the post), you still miss the point that when done in SL (or in RL, with trusted partner(s)) she has that control, she has the means to stop it from happening, regardless of her fantasy, if she chooses to use it. |

Shoot!....missed about 30 pages....
Does anyone have a short summary? 200 words or less? Still waiting for an IM from Scylla to actually GO to a role-play sim....alts are dressed up and ready to give a tour. Was listening to some role-play scenes last night.....most were comical....downright hilarious.....(had nothing to do with rape or abuse)....although set in a sim that uses that word.....no one was hurt or abused unless they laughed too hard and pulled a muscle....... And thinking.....man, if you can't make a distinction between addressing RL Issues and separate that from a few hours of harmless entertainment in an imaginary world performed by a puppet that is most likely not an exact replica of anyone's real life self....in a cartoon-like setting.....I'm thinking Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner....and all the damage they've done to us over the years.... Dang....there might be some "issues" to work out there, first.....before attempting to save the world.....either world. |
