There are rules folks, comply with them or leave or be thrown out. I for one will be supporting the moves to ban depictions of extreme violence towards women in SL, and I know I have the full support of those in my sims too. This is our democratic right, and I will vote for such a ban.

The numbers for the last two years of data before Diamond's paper are as follows:

1990: Rape victims, 1,548
1995: Rape victims, 1,500

1990: Sex assaults: 2,730
1995: Sex assaults: 3,644

Of course, since Diamond's paper was published in 1999 crime figures have increased significantly in Japan. It is still not illegal to possess child porn in Japan.
