That's a point. My Partner gets hit on WAAAAY more often by women (often with me standing next to him!!) than I do by men. Of course we've already established I'm a hatrack. *grins*

A naked woman fell out of the sky one day, onto our property and pretty much on my Partner and says "Hi, Babe."

Another time we were in a haunted maze during Halloween and again a woman just pops down from the sky, saunters up to my Partner and says "Hello, Sexy." When he didn't respond, next thing you know, this chick traps us in the corner of the maze we were at with a giant prim and tp's out.


So, from my observation, this getting hit on goes both ways.

You seem to use it for a myriad of perceived offenses to you, including many that have nothing to do with how intelligent the person you are referring to appears to be, nor appears to have posted.

For example those posting without having read and understood the thread would be posting out of ignorance, rather than stupidity.

Those posting based on a misunderstanding would be misguided or if it stemmed from some intellectual shortcoming, obtuse. If merely they refused to accept your further explainations, they are being obstinate.

I think from your perspective most of the posters disagreeing with you would be "misguided" and "obstinate" or "ignorant" rather than "Stupid" or "Idiots"

Me continuing to post in reference to you might be "Stupid" since I know it will only lead to more personal attacks by you.

But me seeing your earlier posts as clumsy wouldn't have been "stupid" , If I was wrong it would have been "imperceptive".

You might be better off just using (generic personal attack) as your qualifier, since thats all you seem to be using it for.

lol. ok. "stupid" and "idiot" are words that are used for some things when they are not necessary accurate by strict definition, and I am like many people in that we use those words when they not necessarily technically accurate. However...

Anyone who insists that the author didn't mean what the author said he meant, when the author's orginal statement says precisely what the author said he meant, is being "stupid", and there was a lot of that in this thread - including in at least one of your later posts. So the word "stupid" is applicable to that. "idiot" may not be accurate by definition, but it's often used like that.

Now, I'm not going back to find every occurance of those words in my posts, so if you find fault with any, please quote them. There are very few, but I'm not going looking for them.

Most recently, I used both words to describe the not uncommon practise of wanting to say something, not having anything worthwhile to say, so posting an insult instead. That's a stupid thing to do. And there's been some of that in this thread. I'm the one who is repulsive to women, and who spreads shit on his body, remember. None of it could be described as adding anything to the debate - it was all just posting insults for the sake of having a go at someone. People who do it are behaving stupidly and idiotically - including me occasionally - and you. People who do it continually are both stupid and idiots - imo.

That is true, but throwing in monotonous with inaccurate is boring. If you are going to bother with a steady stream of personal attacks, inventiveness would serve you better.



Its quite possible the author didn't convey the message correctly, and that further explanations also failed to convey the original message.

Its also possible the author's tone makes people unlikely to believe them.

Its only "stupid" if the author's tone, syntax and structure were such that it would be unintelligent to read it in any other way that the author intended. I think you are giving your posts far too much credit.

The feces comment was obviously a simple attempt to demonstrate by absurdity how your "Many but not most" could be taken as a generalization.

You know as well as i do that some people in this thread either chose to continue with their misunderstanding, for reasons best know to themselves, or they didn't actually read it from the start, and just joined in with what was popular. If any confusion stemmed from the orginal statement, the subsequent explanations of it were very clear.

I disagree. The original statement may have been written in a way that could be misunderstood, even though I don't accept that, but the subsequent explanations were very clear. Some people simply chose to continue with their initial thoughts. I can imagine why, but I don't know why.

Other people could see it - how the phrase "many, perhaps most women" doesn't mean "women in general" or "most women" - but some coninued through thick and thin that it meant "most women".
