From: Raymond Figtree Does it have to be cats? Why yes Mr Figtree it does have to be cats. You don't want me any more surreal surely? I am letting the penguins rest in Brenda's cooler cabinet till the temperature drops. Plus, not had anyone trying to chat me up lately who needed a good penguining! (That's not 'invitation to treat' btw, any wierd stalkerish men who might be thinking "hmmm she looks like a monkey ... ding dong!!" And gibbons definitely should not apply)

Re the events of last night: *BTW the ensuing group chat banter was absolutely priceless, I hope someone saved it. That silliness seemingly was evaporating from the place lately, I'm poud of you all.* The Liter of beer and 3 Jaegermeisters I had last night not withstanding, I am going to stand with my decision, until this project is resolved. My mixed feelings on it can be a source of undue stress on the team. I'll just say, Guys, git er done! This will also allow me to work on rolling out the soon to be "Forum Cartel Ladies Auxiliary". Watch your mailboxes for further announcements.

Hey, guys. Just to dispel the mystery, I guess Brenda's upset happened as a result of a PM by me to someone else, which I gather has been forwarded around perhaps too much! In any case, it was inappropriate and I do apologize. I did feel a little over-vested in this hangout thing, I guess, because the whole thing started as a conversation between myself and another member.
In any case, please don't let this little tempest-in-a-teapot derail anything! Onward, it'll be a great hangout, and most of all I hope everybody just has fun with it.

From: Kenbro Utu I would like to contribute in some form. Perhaps one of those in the know could look at what has already been contributed and suggest some things which are still lacking and need contribution?
P.S. Would love a group invite... Don't know if anyone has followed up on this in-world, but you don't need an invite to join. Just look up the Forum Cartel under groups in search and you can jump right in.

I have been away from the forums for a few days, and am amazed and happy to see what all yous have been doing. I think its great, and so right for SL and this forum; spontaneous, full of good will, generous and imaginitive...

From: Chris Norse Ummm Bilbo, tapping of the foot is now a no no. It seems it is a sign you are looking for gay sex with a stranger in a public bathroom. But if that is what you are looking for tap away my short friend. What? no more tapping of the foot? How else is a hobbit going to flounce? OMG! I can see I'm going to have to revise my catalogue of gestures .. wait! .. what if I put on my cloak of invisibility? .. then nobody will *see* me tapping my foot .. oh the injustice of it all .. I was so proud of my flounce.

btw, what happened to Forum Hangout II? The demise of the Forum Hangout II thread was chronicled in the infamous Forum Hangout II.1 thread.

In any case, please don't let this little tempest-in-a-teapot derail anything! Onward, it'll be a great hangout, and most of all I hope everybody just has fun with it. The other member was me. At least I think it was, unless I horned in on another conversation, which would be typical of me. At any rate, it seemed like a fun idea at the time, and I couldn't imagine anyone getting all upset or getting their feelings hurt over it. Here's the deal - stop the drama everyone. If you feel like things are going poorly, or you are upset over something, stand up from the computer, step outside and take a breath of fresh air, maybe get a snack or a drink of water. Count to ten, and then PM me and I'll work through it with you. Your funds are safe. I am in constant contact with Oryx and we are auditing by comparing the balance to her figures to the transaction history. It balances perfectly. I think it's more than the funds, though. It's a lot of L, but it's really not much in US$. Really. I've got that much in my wallet right now in cash. I think it's probably that people like this idea and want it to do well. We tend to get emotionally invested in projects like this, and giving up control is difficult. We've got group owners who are in control and care about the group. I have control over the funds, and Oryx is a check on my control. Raymond has significant control over the land, Chris and Inc will control the build. That leaves a lot of people who have submitted ideas, donated tier and donated L, but who feel like they are not in control. All I can say is that I have complete confidence in this team, and I hope you all can as well. Oryx and I are acting as project managers, sheparding this thing through, and we have seen the team really come together. Everyone's ideas are considered, even though every single idea might not be implemented (we'd need about 4 sims to do that ). The other thing is this is an ongoing project, meaning we aren't just going to build it, pronounce it done, and never change it. I envision it evolving over time as the forums change and we get new members and new topics. Think of it this way - the topic of pie has been around about a month, right? We definitely need to work it into the project, but next month it might be something else, and we can incorporate that next month. If something doesn't work or people don't like it, we get rid of it and change that. All I'm asking is that you all see this for what it is - a fun project that we can all be proud of and enjoy. Certainly not anything to get all wound up about. If you are upset about anything, all you have to do is PM me and we'll work it out together. I promise I'll listen and do my best to make you comfortable with what's going on. That's fair, isn't it?

The topic of pie has been around a lot longer then a month. It seems I remember it back when I started, 3.5 years ago. Maybe you should also have a shine to all the members of the forums that have been banned over the years. It would be like the beta wall that LL has. The fallen forum members wall.
