I dunno about anyone else, but I am not so worried about what our neighbors will be. The properly placed lining of trees and poof, no neighbor! I do it all the time, unless I pull out my camera view on my land now, you wouldnt even know there is this huge build next door (thats rarely ever used from what I see...never even seen a green dot over there) Unless of course the mothership from that other thread shows up.

More reasons why we are going mainland:
-We said from the start we were going mainland and people started donating tier and L$.
-One person is not saddled with the responsibility of ownership. We are all owners and tier donators.
-If our landlord lets us down, we have only LL to blame.
-If the sim ends up having issues, we can sell and move quickly
-We have a lot of vehicle enthusiasts. No void borders to worry about.
-If the whole thing falls apart, we can sell and buy Brenda some new panties.

Mainland it shall be. *Thanks to Warda for her generous offer.* While Figgie is charged with finding the land and realated tasks, before it is purchased, Chris amd myself, based upon the advice Ray and other members of the poject team, will make the Ultimate decision. On most matters pertaing to the group as a whole, the membership will be advised before hand and will often be asked to weigh in, through the Officer's at large.

Just did a cursory check of mainland 4096 plots for sale. The is a startling amount of land in our price range on low lag attractive sims with nary a spinning ad in sight. We are in great shape for when we are ready to buy. :)

Just be carefull you all dont become Linden by another name.. the call of "Officer at large"
rings the death bell of freedom and spontaneity in SL to me....the whole idea of a forum is freedom to express... Ok.. i know im just sounding too cautious but ive ventured this road.. the sun doesnt always shine uncontained... and even though one cant see it, the lightning still strikes.

Creating an SL space to discuss and examine topics that are, free elswhere, of limits and boundaries, needs carefull examination, else why not carry on just as one is.. outside... looking in..and free.

i haven't been around much, i know. but i would love to be in on this- be it donating $ or textures, building structures, or creating terrain effects. what is most needed at this point? and how does one go about becoming part of the process so late in the game.

things seem to be changing very quickly around me in SL right now. so looking forward to a new place to hang out and make new friends. =D

there is an ingame group named forum cartel that's been around awhile ask brenda or chris for an invite. This kind of just happened and wasn't really planned. A group was created one day and the rest is history lol

Somehow I got involved sorta along the way although i'm not very active i just right "broadly offensive posts" ...

as long as griefers are kept at bay, banned and AR'd when making problems; nudies are kept to the far eastern corner of the stable; and there is an infinite amount of pie availble, i think everything else the officers do is just fine. i'm sure this isn't going to be policed to death.

A little bit of history, The Forum Cartel came about because of the "English Nanny" and one of the more insane "I am gonna sue the Lindens" threads. A small group of us met on Brenda's back porch and had a really good time getting to know each other in world. Brenda and I talked and decided to create a group in world to help facilitate in world forum meet ups. We have had semi regular meetings once a week, some times more frequently, some times less, always at a different person's home, club or favorite place to hang out.

We now have over 80 members.

It's actually early in the game. We have had so many generous donations of tier and L$ already. If you want to add to it or share your talents with us, you are welcome.

3Ring, anything you want to do to join in is welcome! Like the others have said, we haven't even gotten the land yet, so if you want to help with building the main building, talk to Chris Norse or Incanus Merlin. Malachi Petunia is in charge of the garden/outbuildings. Some people have offered furniture, jukeboxes, etc. Whatever you like to do best is what's most needed! If you want to make textures, poses, furniture, t-shirts, whatever, it's all you, baby. Or if you just want to hang out and eat pie, well heck, that's all I'm gonna do. :)

With you on all but the nudies. Naked ladies are welcome at any time! (Except maybe at weddings and funerals, and even then...)

As for pie, I can guarantee an unending supply of pizza pies, and will work on others. As for griefers, Freeze-humiliate-eject-ban-AR is one of the greatest pleasures available in SL. As is super-orbit. We'll have to take turns, maybe even invite the occasional griefer in to keep everybody happy who wouldlike to deal with them. NO WORRIES!

all L$ go to CartelTrustAcct Mumfuzz.
From: Malachi Petunia
the cartel banker's name is CartelTrustAccount Mumfuzz.

What is the actual name?

And would the one of you who has it wrong please go back and edit your post to correct it ASAP?

/me is having visions of some unsavory person setting up an alt with the other name, then running off with some of our money. :(

Please don't anyone take the Titles too seriously, I don't. The officers are functional primarily in regards to this project. All the officers at large will do is help take in and distribute information and suggestions. There will be no policing of anything or such other nonsense. No need. As Queen my word is Law. Pie for everyone.

CartelTrustAccount Mumfuzz
is who I paid on the first day $L were being collected, according to my Transaction History.

It was decided earlier in the thread that donations will be accepted until Monday midnight SL time.

Yes perhaps the Village Idiot will be useful for Orbit practice.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

In my view, all these people can be officers only if they agree to wear rip-away state trooper outfits whenever at the hangout, with rights for all forum members to tug at will.

It's only fair compensation for the world-shaking power that we're giving them!
