I think on the login screen where it says Online now: 67,335 that number isn't true, seems to be stuck since a couple friends of mine logged out, well 1 from a crash just a couple mins ago and that number still isn't changing.
it's either stuck or doesn't stay updated probably on a timer. so no telling what's on at the moment. |

Question is, will it hurt SL more to restrict logins to paying or to NOT restrict logins to paying. I can see how that doesn't sit will with their Tao but this is CERTAINLY a 100% valid excuse to ban the use of bots. Maybe registring a player AS a bot (and ban accounts that don;t properly register) so LL can kick them in peak times might be a solution that would work for everyones issues... Agree with this totally. Bots should never have priority or be allowed to stay inworld at times when logins are restricted because of load. And I don't care if you pay $9.95 for your bot. It is NOT a real person. |

It is NOT a real person. That's all fine and I think we all agree with it but how do you detect bots? Every system in every MMO fails this test and if even one real person gets kicked then this forum would be flooded with curses asking why they were booted for doing reptitive tasks, etc that LL would use to detect bots. Heck I've been detected in a game as a bot before when I was grinding. |

I'm peeved at the outage too...but really, people! SL has been behaving MUCH better for me since the rollout of the last server (before Mono) and the 1.20.15 viewer. I used to crash on TP, or crash unexpectedly for no reason. That hasn't happened in a long time now.
Also, the concurrency numbers have been inching up. 67,000+ today. Hey! I'm in!!!! Bye... _____________________
