It would make sense to limit login priority to premium and concierge members of course
Not "only" allow them in, but allow them a priority login path.
Just like Season Pass holders at Theme Parks. Where is the sense in that? Most who pay, do so to make money which you can only do from the freebies (once they acquire a few Dollars). If the only ppl allowed to login are the premium payers where are they going to make their money? I discount those who pay just to have a higher level of enjoyment. If you provide a service and then deny the use of that service it is just a farce. It's time for Linden labs to increase their server space and bandwith. |

I pay just over 1/2 sim of tier. I don't see that a non-Premium paying for a PI should have any less priority than me for logins.
The NPIOFs however should be turfed out and kept out at peak load times.
I don't care if they are warm bodies or bots. They are keeping me out of something that I pay a lot for. Agreed, but what proportion of non-Premiums are pating for islands? And how bad would it be for those to pay an extra $10 per month? ...they could reduce the island tier by $10 so that those people would not pay any more in total. |

From: Sindy Tsure I have seen the source code and it explicitly checks for you logging in. They're messing with you, hon. But that's the point. We shouldn't be "messed with". Granted I am in and an alt tried to login so I stopped but I tried like 6 times and it said online the whole time. Heck one error told me to CHECK status page cause there is something wrong with the server and then told me on the front page everything is ok! |

I guess that by the time I can log back in I will be in bed asleep. Why does all the maintenence happen at peak UK usage times bet other countries dont lose as much time proportionatly.

Question is, will it hurt SL more to restrict logins to paying or to NOT restrict logins to paying. (And I'm assuming that LL just can't EVER get their system to scale beyone 60k which they seem incapable of doing). I can see how that doesn't sit will with their Tao but this is CERTAINLY a 100% valid excuse to ban the use of bots. I don't think ANYONE other than a "gold farmer" (in the many incarnations it exists in SL) could argue against that. Bots should not have priority over real players EVER. Maybe registring a player AS a bot (and ban accounts that don;t properly register) so LL can kick them in peak times might be a solution that would work for everyones issues... [Edit] bothched that second sentance pretty bad corrected |

Course that would elave HUGE openings for hackers and curious people to get into LLs internal workings but COME ON....that's not a big deal! *loves picking on sindy and hopes she doens't bop her IW later for this.* |
