traditions often have little to do with the ability to tell time.... just saying

Whether this is proper tactics or frowned upon is not the point here but what was said afterwards that made me think.

I was told that hunting in this way is "tricking" people into being bit because people may not understand, may just click to close, or may be busy and click by mistake, on the accept link in the menu, thus losing thier soul to limbo until they choose to play.

I was told that this is the reason the potions were made, especially the Wormwood potion, to give people the opportunity to regain their human souls when tricked into being bit.

So here is my question... WHY ARE WE CHARGIJNG FOR SOMETHING WHEN WE ARE CLEARLY STEALING FOMR PEOPLE BY TRICKING THEM INTO IT TO BEGIN WITH?????

Now you know why most of the grid hates bloodlines peeps more than griefers.

I say don't blame the systems but the users.

When it comes to roleplay, surely there needs to be roleplay involved before the 'bite'? The OP states they sent another vampire a bite request totally out of the blue. If you wish to play something like that then emote the meeting and stalking the prey etc.

Funny thing is, I run a large vampire shop and yet in three years I have never had a vampire attempt to bite me I didn't know. I have one bite registered on the Bloodlines site, that happened to be a friend I gave blood to help.

Everyone does have to agree to the bites so not sure how Bloodlines can change it to stop people being annoyed when get added by their own clicking to accept. I gather they do have methods of taking you off, but really not sure why people get so upset showing on a web page.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but is this whole biting thing still going on in full force? I did the garlic thing on my avatars so long ago that the whole mosquito deal kind of faded out of consciousness.

Well, Bloodlines is run off of the same premise as TAG (The Assassin's Game), where you actually live out the RP amongst non-participants in the venue of RL. However, you don't normally involve non-participants directly, even though they may suffer from collateral damage of your "play".

In the case of Bloodlines, they incorporate everyone into their RP unwillingly in an attempt to snare people into their scam. Even though their "scam" amounts to "I have your nose; pay me to get it back", people still fall victim to it, wanting simply to be left in peace.

Boy you guys are frigid! For a bunch of crazy bloodsucking high-lickers you have an awful lot of walls of rules and bells and books and candles.
Chill out, home boy and relax. Dont worry so much about where the next bite is gonna come from.

Amen.
Before I'd even heard of Bloodlines: The Annoyance, I created a gorgeous, vampy alt. I made her all eerily gorgeous and sent her strolling through cemeteries and vamp type spots to get profile pics.
Within an hour or so, I had several annoying conversations about lifestyle and commitment and clans and such. All the regulations just ruined it for me.
Why is it so hard to just PLAY without cluttering things with rules and bells and whistles?
