If I were a member of the sexual ageplay community (and I'm not) I would talk to everyone involved and decide upon a set of codewords that everyone would mutually understand to be synonymous with -sexual ageplay-. The codewords would have to be as bland and innocuous as possible. Something that a regular curious newbie would instantly ignore and that a government watchdog would overlook.

For example... you could use a word like "paper bag". Sexual ageplayers would hide that term in their profiles in perfectly acceptable sentences like, " I like to eat lunch in a paper bag." Perfectly nonsensical since we don't really eat in SL. Members of your community would instantly know what they are talking about. You could have groups called "paper bag discussion" or "torn paper bags". Stores could be called, "Hiding in a paper bag". Well you get the point.

Or cookie cutters. I love cookie cutters.

That's the name LL has changed one of the groups to tonight. So much for the no slippery slope argument.

added - the group has nothing to do with age play

I'm sure that already goes on. But it won't help. The simple fact that child avatars EXIST in SL is suspicious too some (I think someone even said as much in this thread somewhere, along the lines of "I am suspicious that you would even want to play a child";). The media will get hold of that, and start to dig. And whilst there are rules that govern police investigators so that they cannot appear to invite the "crime" that they are looking for...there are no such rules covering reporters.

I can 100% guarantee that Fox (who "broke" this story) won't leave it alone - they can see that the Lindens decision allows sexual ageplay to continue, but just sweeps it out of sight of the casual observer. They will send in reporters, in child or adult avs, who will make it quite clear they are looking for sexual roleplay. ANY group in life needs new blood to survive, so even the most cautious of groups will eventually allow one in - especially since the lack of rules on reporters doesn't prevent them jumping on a poseball to "prove" they are genuine...eventually one of them will gain the trust of a member, and then next thing you know, "Paper bag = child porn" will be all over the TV again.

Those of us who object to child molestation most likely aren't seeking sexual gratification of any sort in an online game, and those who are, aren't likely to complain if they happen to stumble across something grotesque, but rather are likely to move on to something more appealing.

Wow this is very presumptive. You are saying most people who engage in sex in SL dont object to child molestation? And the rest are willing to tp away?

I assume this is just poorly worded. If intentional its completely insulting.

The facts are of course different then you describe.

Almost everyone objects to child molestation. A vast Majority object to virtual dipictions of it as well. This is why theres concern the majority are impossing on the ageplayers perceived first ammentment rights, which Linden Labs does not guarantee.

To be more clear ..

Almost everyone who enjoys sex in SL objects to child molestation. A vast Majority of those who engage in sex in SL object to virtual dipictions as well.

Some who enjoy sex in SL will be willing to TP away if they end up in an Ageplayer sort of place. Others will be highly offended.

Some who dont enjoy sex in SL will be willing to TP away id they end up in an Ageplayer sort of place. Others will be highly offended.

Please dont stereo-type people who are into SL cyber sex as more accepting of child molestation. It simply isnt true.

If it hasn't been said in this thread (but I tink I remember it too), then I know I've heard it more than a couple times in-world. Usually, I tink it comes from the folks who seem to tink SL = Sex Life, an can't imagine someone would use it for someting othern dat.

Where there's smoke, there isn't always fire. It might just be a particle display. ;-)

Ahh There is a Point Right now No one can Designate an area for such activity because. You can not write about it or make a texture in SL. That is one of the problems I have seen about this and no one as responded to. I can not warn you that there is both sex and underage avatars together. So a possible land owner All I can do is Go Hey there is sex here, and make sure that as a Land owner letting any of the underage groups know that they are welcome to come here and do as they please. I can't tell you that underage sex is happening there, that is the point.
.

I have interpreted Robins comments about the ban to be more like this-

You can not have land where sexual age play goes on in any public place. That includes clubs of any sort.

You cant advertize Sexual Age Play anywhere even for private land.

I think that means basically that means all sexual age play has to occur behind closed, and probably LOCKED, doors.

I Think, within the scope of the "rules" given -

It should be possible for Sexual age players to purchase an island, and remove it from all search critera, limiting access to a group only.

They could then advertize on some third party site. Though Id expect discretion would be key there also, too much attention and would likely mean more LL censor.

Again if they spelled out their rules better - less SAP would operate in grey areas. Which would be better for everyone on both sides of the issue.

Which is what I've wanted, for sure!

'sides, no-one should be makin' company policy in a notecard anyway. Dat's jes silly.

I've been wondering that too. It left "answers" a long, long time ago. And really, it wasn't "resident" at the start, neither. Perhaps it was to let everybuggy talk it to death?

Have we gotten there yet?

In an ideal world they wont lock this thread until the Lindens define whats allowed and what isnt reguarding sexual age play.

As far as I know the banned/restricted activities in second life are

*Racist/Hate speech propaganda and demonstrations -

The definition is there is no tolerance of those.

Simple enough.

So now its also Sexual Age Play -

definition - rumor, passed around notecard, someone's chat log with Robin, one forum post by Torely

Think it's gone beyond that. I heard that yesterday, LL disbanded two groups, one with the dreaded three-letter C word, and one involving rape roleplay. I don't know if other groups have had the same thing happen.

But they don't and won't do anything about groups like 14 Words.

This group is for folks who know of the 14 words and want to keep in touch with other like minded folks. We are primary a social gathering of sl residents who have a concern about our future as a people and a place to share ideas, learn and grow.

14 Words: "We must secure the existance of our people and a future for white children"

Strength through Unity,
Unity through Faith,
Faith in the 14 Words!

Support those, who support you!

(after doing some google, and in world search)

I didnt think neo-nazi or white supremeacy groups were allowed.

The question I have I guess , are they allowed becuase Lindens dont know its a White supremacy group?

Or, becuase they are low key. Looking at their members profile's no one has any picks of any "14 words" areas.

I supposed I could of joined to see their group land, they are open enrollment - but the idea of joining a white supremacy group even just to investigate still is messed up.

White supremacy is clearly okay if you're important and powerful.

Ageplay would be okay, too, if ageplayers were important and powerful.

To anyone who honestly believes morality has anything to do with this:

Wake up. "There's a sucker born every minute" ... and you're one of them. Stop making a fool of yourself, and open your eyes.

Ethnic cleansing? Really?

Please tell me you were using hyperbole.

As for 14 Words...

Simply and utterly disgusting.

Ethic cleansing...LOL...I must admit even I misread it the first time...I think you just coined a term that should run and run...

...just out of badness, if I created a group called "two words", and just put "age play" in the description...do you think I'd get away with it?

I'm feeling slightly bummed out now, though, having Googled it and gotten 11,000+ hits. So I can't claim to be the first *sigh*
