Do things ever change?

In my case, it was my pointing out that I cannot respond to Rhaorth any more, because to do so would clearly be interpreted as my telling her what she's thinking, and not how I interpret what she's saying. As per a previous post I made.

An acronym (or an initialism if you're Pep) is not gibberish. Do you always say, "National Football League"?

Love...would it not have been perhaps more...I don't know..I hate to use the word in this forum because it usually does not apply...but KIND, to say "We obviously are not seeing eye to eye or misunderstanding each other due to our own perceptions, so I'm going to bow out of this conversation?"

Not the acronym, the tl;dr. How can an acronym have an ; in the middle of it? heh. I can never remember immediately what that weird set of letters and ;'s means. I have to think hard. I do not like having to think hard.

And it was having just "tl;dr" with quoted . . um . . quote, and nothing more that I found annoying. Snide. Pompous. I see that all the time on SLU and it drives me up the wall.

Guess I shouldn't respond to this.....but, *noted* that that is how people feel who have been around the forums longer, toward newer ones who are still gung ho and learning things here. True, I wouldn't have made a 'first forum post' like that, but also don't want to be (caged, orbited and tossed) in the same basket with the person who did make that post.

You're a psionic vampire. Needy, hypersensitive, and just suck out so much energy from everyone else to not hurt your feelings because you take almost every disagreement as some kind of personal slight. You create so much drama for yourself and can't step outside yourself to see that maybe you give people reason to believe the other meaning of whatever it is you say you mean at the moment.

You're a talented creator who, IMO, hasn't marketed herself enough. You spend more energy complaining about stuff than you do putting yourself out there. And yes, you're complaining. Then dont get involved. This is a result of much acrimonious bitching when backs are turned, much joyful "that showed her!" (as I even read about myself some time back) and even a very long thread that should end as soon as possible called "Just excuse and let this one die" - well let THAT thread die! Pick up a phone, walk across teh road and visit a neighbour to communicate but dont- please dont - tell me THAT is relevent to SL. None of us can be friends here because we simply arent able to be as personal and as meaningful to each other as we might wish. It is teh problem with sl - it isnt compatible with the human need to see the real person and the real visual cues and responses.

It's time this all ended. Frankly (and I am just as much to blame as others) this whole forum business should be shut down. It only serves as a home for people who oughta be answering emails, learning lines for a play, writing an essay, feeding the kids, walking the dog, cooking the spag-bog, or f**king teh real partner (times liek this I wish I had teh time to have one) or - guess what? - working.

My *only* involvement Jig was to ask all of you to quit being so vicious...several times. Obviously, it did not one bit of good.
