Do things ever change?

The OP, with these words, makes it sound that she is not and was never accepted and liked here.

In my time in the forums I have seen many examples of many people helping, supporting and encouraging the OP when she needed it. Those people have shown her every kindness and attempted to make her feel accepted. I feel it is unfair to those people to let these quoted words go unchallanged.
Sure there have been disagreements and fallings out between the OP and some people here. It is no secret that her and I too have ended up falling out over words that were said. However there has been far, far, far more support shown towards her than anything else here.

In case there is any doubt I do not count myself in that group of people and so am not seeking any self-serving needs here.

I just felt that needed to be said as the tone of the things the OP has said in this thread is very critical of those very people who have supported her.

i am first time in a forum ever.. but i saw enough now.. i have a problem and wanted to look if somebody has same thing. My acc was hacked and the hacker took all my money, whole inventury , my mainstore... and canceled my acc. Lindens say they cant give me the items back. what i do not believe. Cause this are just UUIDs vor the. they see every item... where and when it was going where ever... so i wanted to search for ppl that have had the same and was just found maaaaaaaany treads .. one looking like the other.. "Ppl that think they were hacked cause of a sl lag" ... please.. one tread is open about it.. write your szatement there.. dont open a new and a new and a new about the same shit. The system is logging you out right now!!!!! i bet this sign have seen everyone minimum one time... !!!! if sl is very evil to me.. i can see it every 15 minutes. But why start a tread for something what 50 others has already posted?

I am simply saying that for being a female in an mmorpg it is nice to be accepted and liked in a guild (which rarely seems to happen in my experience)

I have said nothing here against or about any specific person, I just wish people would stop putting words where there are none and stop trying to tell people what it is I am saying

jesus get over it, sure I made mistakes in my past and not everyone here hates me, some do some don't

but my comment had NOTHING to do with whether people here like me or not

shoot. any attempt to support and/or protect the OP by me was overlooked, rejected, and then skewed and twisted to be BAD instead of good. some people need constant stroking to feel welcome. that is a personal ego problem, and one that cannot be resolved in a forum.

It sounds like she will no longer be a Linden, but will still be in SL as "one of us", at least for awhile.

and to people like 3ring, go stroke your own ego, I knew it would not last where you just could not get a little dig in at me, hope it felt good (you NEVER tried to support me, all you did was attack me, all because I did not say thank you when you supposedly added to my rental time, time which I did not know was added, and from that you decided I was a bitch, a psycho, etc) THAT is not supporting someone, that is stabbing in the back and doing things for your own gain or glory. (at least to me that is how I saw it) IF you were supporting me, you would have believed me when I told you I had no knowledge of any time being added, and as far as I know, THAT is the only thing that ever happened between us that caused you to dislike me so vehemently

(edited to add, upon reading your post again, I know what you refer to now, the baby doll incident thing, and the only thing I saw was you siding with others, not sure where you were supporting me... oh wait you said ti was privately that you stood up to people to defend me... I find that hard to believe, being how you treated me in the past)

oh well, as my mom used to say, if people are not insulting you, they are doing it to someone else

I like the forums, it is just some of the people I do not like, just as some do not like me, and some won't like you, etc....

I won't leave just to please the few that do not like me here, and I will post as many threads as I like, even if some of you do not like said threads

IF anyone questions what I mean by something I said, I would hope that they would be adult enough to PM me and ask... instead of assuming...

so bottom line, the forums don't suck, just some of the people do, and I won't leave, it would make some people too happy, and others sad...

and it would make me sad (at least for now, who knows what the future holds)

Rhaorth, what you interpret as people putting words in your mouth, or telling you what you think, is actually people trying to interpret what you write, both in the context of your overall forum presence, as well as from the post content alone. If people didn't do that, nobody would ever try to reply to you, since there could be no understanding of what you wrote.

All you would get is "tl;dr"

You seem to have no tolerance for people misunderstanding what you write, or the meaning behind it. Not such a beneficial trait, in a FORUM.

No, what is happening is that she has stated that your tone suggests these things. She is not putting words in your mouth - she is stating that your words sound like a certain thing.

Have you considered the possibility that your words aren't doing a good job of reflecting what you mean?

it is not my words, it is the opinion people have already made of me, that they inflict into the words

if the words were written by someone well liked then everyone would have been offering sympathetic hugs and telling them the forums will get better, it is just a rough spot

if they were written by a hated member, everyone would have jumped on them and flogged them

(and no before anyone even thinks I mean I am the hated person I don't, I feel I am somewhere in the middle, some hate me, some like me, some are indifferent)

This pretty much covers everyone who has ever encouraged you in the Undying thread and you are criticizing them all for their behavior.

Love is right in her interpreting what I mean. If your words are unable to be interpreted by people who understand normal english especially in light of previous things you have said then the problem is not with them.
