I hurl insults????
OMG have you looked at the shit you spew out????

and I only said how I see you, you choose to take it as an insult

personally I am not insulted by your comments about me, because I know in my heart who I am and it is not who you think I am

you "think" what you say are truths, but you are wrong

and no my dear, you have no idea who you are dealing with, you don't know me from Adam.. you just think you do and for some reason you get off on pretending to be able to "peg" people

*shrug*

yes my comment was a little over the top, however it's intent was to show that sure, we can all have an opinion, and not everyone will like it, just as you do not like my opinion of you

I won't like others' opinions of me, but that doesn't mean I care about it, just means I don't like it
I will respond only with words of Love to you...tl;dr

I have not called her any names so far but yes it would be good if she could remain civil.

oh but yes you have, you have just hidden them in your little comments

you are not being as blunt as I

as for my comment as I said it was a bit over the top, but hell I have been called worse than that and survived

"Too long - didn't read"

ahh thank you pep

apparently it is used to convey that they are just being bitchy and spiteful

personally if I find a thread or post too long I just do not read it, I do not feel the need to announce it

THAT is soooo childish, just shows the mentality of the poster hehe

and yes.. demonstrates ignorance among other things :)

S'okay. But this thread is gettign outta hand and its time to stop. I have to drive 250 kms today in snow and ice and dont wanna see this all frazzly and bestrired when I get back. I wanna post a thread later about something I think is important after taht documentary I just saw about sl. The forum's gotta deal with some primary issues of content in sl and I think we must address those issues (which we have done in teh past, I know) but newbies arrive each day and use teh forum. They stir things up and tehy have expectations and desires. We have to debate more than just teh type of prims we prefer. Its our world that is on show and we can be even marginally effective in presenting in teh best way possible.
Calm down. This is nervous energy going to waste. Even getting wasted on a keyboard. And trust me I know what getting wasted means.

Then if errors could be bottled you could probably solve the world energy crisis singlehanded.

Pep (Or at least get almost as rich as Paul Newman)

You know something, if I was ever compared to Paul Newman I would be honoured coz he was a truly generous person and a decent human being. Hmm, a compliment. From U. Rich? I'll never tell but my time is mainly mine. I like charity work. Nohtign wrong in taht.

Actually, yes, they are. If you can make people afraid or sad then you feel then you have "beaten" your own fears and self-indequacies by pointing them out in others.

You are wasted in the "arts" it seems; a much more lucrative and socially beneficial career is obviously awaiting you in the field of abnormal psychology.

Pep (And what's more, you can even do it remotely, saving the expense of a couch)

I have to drive Pep. But I shall answer you seriously and dont want to cause offence. Much of what you type reminds me of teh man I called my father. Truly, a decent and loving man but he became disenchanted and bitter as he grew older (he was much older than my birth mum). There was nothing any of us could do to please or satisfy his craving to hurt. Even when I had great success (early in my life) and ten years ago could buy whatever I wanted for them - even a house and much else - he was never satisfied unless he could point to my faults and anyone else's. It was - in his case - an illness. I dont imply anything about you. But Pep, he gave up so much to sit alone writing in a small book all my faults and what my mum had said and what he thought of us. He had same excuses - "you are woefully ignorant you stupid girl" and "Do you dare to contradict me?!" and "You stupid little bitch" (that to both me and my mum). There is nothing funny or mildly amusing in sarcasm or demeaning words. And intelligence goes to waste and even a good man becomes hard to find in the welter of angry words. Stop this bitter-root replies. Answer and reply with wit and humour.

I agree, oddly. I hate when I see that. Quoting the entire post and then typing gibberish. tl;dr Of course I'd also hate if they said something like @34, or re: 34: tl;dr. But at least then they are not filling the entire screen with a post they decided to tell the world that they did not read.

Prefering to look like snide twits. Thumbing their noses. Spitting. "Na-na, you wrote something, but I'm not going to read it!" Bloody moronic behavior.

for some reason I just pictured a bunch of kids on the school ground LOL

ah well, I got the answer I seeked

to those I said anything out of line to I apologize

I do not mean to hurt anyone's feelings, just sometimes I get caught up in the moment and get that same old feeling that I need to defend myself (god only knows why)

/me heads off to deal with SL, lag, and try to help new players understand that SL is not ALWAYS like this... just mostly...

What an ugly display of human behavior, beginning with the original post.....(considering the source.)

It would be extremely difficult for even the most highly evolved human being to respond with kindness and thoughtfulness considering your history here.

You bring change from within yourself.....and after 3 years and 5700 posts....obvious that isn't going to happen....your entries into this thread a prime example.

You reap what you sow.....and you sow quite often. Totally out of line and downright insulting to dump that onto others, while using the same exact behavior that you are criticizing.

If you want to change.....and that is not clearly evident....probably best to plant new seeds in another venue, as your seeds have already been planted here, well fertilized and sprouting prolifically.

OK....has everyone taken enough shots yet, or could we call this thread an exercise in viciousness and let it die?

I sent a request for it to be locked yesterday, since I realized people were going to use it to make pot shots, and not take it seriously

and as per usual, nothing was done...

so to any mod watching

PLEASE please lock this thread
