What does your name mean, and why did you pick it?

Since I can't log in, and Im waiting for my snack to cool, I was wondering if you'd like to tell me why you picked your SL first name and last name, and what they mean, if anything to you. I've seen some names I cant pronounce, first ones, also, and just wonder what they mean. Would you change it if you could?

You first.

Macphisto = A character Bono from U2 used during the ZooTV tour. I am a huge U2 fan so it was a natural.
Angelus = Picked after Angel from the Buffy The Vampire Series. Angelus is the name Angel uses when he is an evil vampire. (also a buffy fan.. sue me).

A week before I joined SL, my great uncle Raymond Einhorn died. He was a brilliant and kind man who was a high ranking guy at NASA.

I named my avatar after him. Figtree was the closest last name I could find to Einhorn.

hmm , well I saw the last name Freelunch, and i HAD to pick Yummy..what else goes with it? Guess I could have picked Crappy Freelunch.

Aminom is a combination and contraction of Amino and Anonymous. Yea weird. Ami Nom also apparently means "Friend Name" in French.

My original last name was Questi (that account died), chosen because it begins with Q -- closely linked to my RL name. Quaintly went well with Questi, I thought it sounded unusual but not too far out

My name means that I was in a rush and lack imagination.

and for some reason it makes people think that I have breasts.

HAHAHA..hmm..I like to hear the creative reasoning behind the names..

Name goes back to the days I decided it was time to say farewell to Windohze. Afer some horsing arround with different Linux versions I stuck with Debian. Sarge was the name of the testing branch at the time.

my name was picked because in another game before playing SL, each name I picked was taken, blah blah blah, so I got frustrated and hit a bunch of letters on the keyboard and a prt of the sequence was Rhaorth... it jumped out at me and I took it, just carried it over to SL cuz I liked it... as for last name, it was near the top of the list and went well (to me) with Rhaorth... strangely though ppl think I do not have breasts LOL

As for how to pronounce it, anyone's guess, I generally go with Ray... orth... some just call me Ray.. or Rha (like Ra) and some call it Ra orth...

however anyone likes to pronounce it is fine with me, I tell most to just call me Rha or RhaRha as it is easier to type and say hehe...

I picked Adana because it means fiery. Someone had already used Fiery with Ember, so I needed something close.

Amaterasu is named after the Japanese Sun Goddess Amaterasu. Always loved the idea of a Sun Goddess when usually the Sun is associated with a God. (It was also a name I gave at least two assassins in Diablo 2 way back...lol)

Cinquetti, well really was the pick of a bunch of very crappy names that totally did not suit Amaterasu.

Darkness I picked from a character I am fond of in a series of Books.
Anubis was the first name on the list I could get Darkness with.
And the egyptian God Anubis rather fits with Darkness although it was accidental.

My second post here on this forum. After some very bad named avs i ended up with this being almost my rl last name. It is also my rl nickname for some reason...
my last name reveals where im from and is also the name of my favorite syntheziser.

Mine was picked because people call me it in rea life.
