I'm a bit confused. So kids can't contribute a build with a child theme? Is that right?
What if Marianne made, oh let's say helicopters. Would she be forbidden to display hers, while an Adult avatar would be able to show theirs. in other words a kid cannot contribute anything at all? _____________________

Yeah, I don't know anything for sure, but there was a comment on the Massively article which indicated Gorean and BDSM had been removed as choices from the registration form. They probably can still participate as long as their builds don't promote that aspect of SL. _____________________

If all other groups are told that their exhibits must conform to a standardf and they do, fine. But to tell one group they can't exhibit ANYTHING tht represents them is wrong. End of story. If they aren't fit for the event, whih is to show all of what SL is, then in theory, they shouldn't be fit for SL period. Just postulating, I am not advocating doing away with the little ones. _____________________

I've met Mari and Dakota in-world. I'm not sure they are even PG. They might be G. If that's the child culture, then it should be showcased, not hidden. LL should be happy to have a child avatar build that they can throw in the face of their detractors who claim it's all about pedophilia and bestiality and God knows what else.
My strategy would be simple. Put the child build up, then call every reporter you can find who is willing to come in-world and say, "Look! This is what people playing child avatars in SL are about - any report to the contrary is biased, sensasionalistic garbage." Stupid LL. I swear, they have the worst PR of any company I have ever seen. Knock, knock, It's Opportunity, let me in! _____________________

I've read through most of the previous pages of this thread *ow!* It would be cool if some of the groups who have got builds in the party somehow acknowledged the absence of the kids' build. I don't really know what that might entail, but it might be nice to see. (Not that I'll see it. Whenever one of these big events is held I have a hard time moving around if I can even get in.)
