I'll be fine but it will cause issues for many people in SL. I'm just sick of LL slapping every one in the face with their 1 inch virtual dick anytime they feel like it.

no, but you do depend on them for income, so my analogy stands.

your own analogy about the government is much farther off base. but then most people who get too wrapped up in SL have trouble seeing that LL isn't a government.

lastly, before i leave the Kleenex thread, i wanna say that i don't much care for LL myself. i just understand cause and effect in the adult world.

I'm old enough to understand that responsibility is not not based on something as simple as saying one word moments after being screwed over. I do well by my tenants and very well by the people I do sl consultant work for. I also do well by my family and consider myself quite responsible. Your just making snap judgments to prove your point and obviously know little about me or how responsible I may or may not be. Someone your age should have learned by now how far making assumptions gets you.

Also what type of person who claims to be an adult, and preaches responsibility uses an alt to speak for them.

I didn't say that I didn't care. I just thought it was odd that someone who preaches responsibly and how to behave like an adult needed to hide who they were. Your telling me to take responsibility for my actions while hiding behind an alt. It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

I would have felt LL over reacted to this regardless of who it was. There are griefers who have dropped sims who didn't get a 3 day for it. Sarah says a general pronouncement of "FU LL" in a concierge chat - not this forum, a CHAT with fellow residents, and gets the ban hammer applied immediately. It's outrageous. Now there are two people in this thread who are behaving as though they are perfect delicate flowers who do no wrong and feel FU LL is the worst thing to ever happen, ever, and so the punishment was perfectly okie dokey...not quite. The fact remains that LL is screwing over OS sim owners, people who have thousands of dollars at risk are pissed and emotions take over.

You think people who are losing life savings in the stock market aren't calling their banks and saying FU to them? Is the bank suspending and withholding their money for it? No.

Phil, you need to remove the superiority stick from your rectum, you are a big reason people stay away from these forums. And little lemon drop, man up and say who you are or feel free to just shut it.

Thanks reeneebob. People tend to be a lot more mean when they use an alt because then they don't have the responsibility of dealing with the outcome of there harshness. It's just plain cowardly.

Welcome back Sarah, I was listening to that group chat when the news broke and it seemed to me many people used profanity to express their anger. I didn't contribute because the increase will cause me to abandon my 18 OS sims and the 1 full sim they are all attached to. Unfortunately I paid 1675/4 for 16 of them so the loss is severe but the additional $900 per month is too much to absorb. All 19 sims are for my private estate with 18 open to the public but it looks like the adventure is now over. I will just have to adjust my life to the new realities of SL.

I'm sorry that this is happening to you. It just seems so wrong that so many people are being forced to give up there sims and lose everything invested because of this.

AOL does it all the time, in fact, they'll ban you for far less AND they'll also wipe your profile if it is found to contain mature subject matter.

Wow. I guess tomorrow when I get called an effin c--- for advising a customer their account is about to be suspended for non payment, I hould be permitted to cancel their home phone etc etc. Why oh why have I been putting up with verbal abuse at least once a day for 2 plus years?

Oh yeah, right, because most companies don't ban you for cussing them out. AOL does it? Great for AOL. I wouldn't deal with them. I don't like being called various names by a customer, but its part of the job and it's not okay to withhold paid for services because of it.
