And side note, Kris what is up with the hatred towards Yadni?  Uh, I have never met Yadni. Have no idea what he/she has done in SL. I have no hatred or like for him/her. I was commenting on the posts solely. That and the previous thread insisting he/she wasnt respected enough. I guess I just don't see why people hafta scream loud demanding/expecting validation of their skills from others is all. Sure, it's nice to get it, but you can't demand respect. Please don't speak for me or the majority of people who think that the rating system has been long overdue for an overhaul. This is a transitional period. It will really take 6 months for ratings to adjust to the current system. There's no reason to panic about this - it's like panicking that L$ prices will plumet, everytime there's a bunch of new land sims. _____________________

IMO I feel that all the ratings should be wiped completely. It is not fair all these TSO'ers that came into SL recently have 1000+ ratings and get to keep them. It is total BULLSHIT!! I think the Lindens should recognize who has give LL a name. It is the old timers not the newbie, ghettofabulous, blinding bling bling ppl. It just fuckin' baffles me.  LOL glad to see that whole "watching your language" thing is working out for you, Paris  Thank you for using the phrase ghettofabulous blinding bling bling - it made me laugh. I was in a store yesterday and a woman had this bling script on a crucifix or something that was like a strobe light. I told her that it was going to give people seizures and she said "don't look". When I said "Um, you can see that thing from space", then she left lol. As my friend Eddie Bombay said, you can't argue with the +3 Hoochie Hair Clubbers. Just accept it lol.  _____________________

I don't hate Yadni, I can't stand his attitude. He comes into threads and bitches about how great he is, how much recognition he deserves, how bad the Lindens such for not naming this Yadni World because he is the best builder ever. When you fire off a list of great builders, it is just plain crass to include yourself. Talent or not, the lack of humility in any sense of the word is why Yadni irritates people. Plus we just got finished dealing with Mex Thorn's red font fetish. _____________________

I completely agree with Hiro. This change was needed.
I think that the day and year your avatar was born tells a lot more about your age than your ratings, anyways. I don't regard the ratings when I look at old player's profiles. I simply look at their age. This is always more impressive. A big change was needed because of the costs now of the ratings system. It's simply not fair for newer people. And enough with this 'new people bling bling' crap. Not everyone who is new is a bunch of club goers and 'newbies'. Get off of the high horse. *Editted*- Comment above not necessarily pointing at anyone in the thread. Just a common trend I've heard from some random people. |
