Loved your post Loethe, except the parts about blaming bleeding heart liberals. You've gotten that backwards. The liberals would be the ones more often saying, "It's your busniess if you want to have sex for money", while the right-wing conservatives would be saying, "You are evil! Do as I say cause I'm a bible thumping, morally idiotic fasist". And that's what's wrong with America. No room for moderates or a healthy discussion between both poles because of the animosity. This country's going to shit! =) Do you REALLY describe yourself as a moderate? Really? I haven't seen any basis/support for that claim in this thread. I will reread it twice to be sure. But I am certain that my sixth and seventh time through here won't change the opinion formed based on five previous times through looking for some reason to agree with anything you have said. A moderate states such absolutes as "no room for moderates"? Hmmm. Definitely food for thought there. Moredate? Really? I am going to have to pull out my unused... er.. faded and worn liberal-dictionary and look up the word moderate. Thanks for educating me. This lesson would likely have cost me 2K in the real world... and a semester's worth of graduate reading to accomplish knowledge-wise. Thank you very much. |

Take me for example, I'm of a liberal mindset and I have always thought it was a waste of taxpayers money to dictate (and prosecute) someone who wishes to sell sexual services. For me, legalizing prostitution is the logical choice. There is no valid reason for the continued criminalization of prostitution. Period. You don't like it? You think its immoral? Then don't hire a sex worker. But, I digress. _____________________
