Well finaly we have a correct amount! Glad to see you did your homework. Now explain to me please why I cant make a profit on my land. I am not a land baron, I do not own most of SL. I one a tiny piece in compairison to the land barons.

Is it because I am against land barons so that means I must take a voe of poverty? No no no we are talking about two very different things here. If you cant understand that I can't explain it any better to you.

Care to know why I am selling it at this price? Well let me tell you why.

I am selling it for so much so that the land barons dont profit off it as much as they do other pieces of land by brow beating the owners into selling it for less than its worth. I am charging this price because for the most part I haven't been able to move around Ross due to one land barron. I am selling it for this much because I am surrounded by a sea of forsale signs on land baron property. They want it that bad, they want me out that bad? Buy it.

Are we done with this side issue yet?

I can assure you that there is no evil conspiracy at work here. If you do have a concern about something that you feel I may be doing, please lets hear it. I may be able to shed some light on the subject.

Catherine, with 100% honesty, I can say that I have never made $1L off either group. The groups were created but I have yet to see a meeting or anything come of it. I don't even think either group has had a group IM yet. LOL

I have made profits in SL. I hope to make much more. Never from affiliation from either of these groups. Neither of us can prove/disprove that.

I donated very nice land in Thams... I have not had an event yet, but will soon. No money has been made. I doubt if any will be made. SOme of us may be making money doing other things (not me by the way) but isn't there a thing in RL called philanthropy??? Seems that this would work the same way. People who are successful - give back to the community in some way. It obviously is not a way that everyone approves of, but that is the way it goes. To drag a group through the mud just seems wrong. You said in an earlier thread that you weren't doing that - that you weren't referring to me... etc. I apologized for my response. I have been reading all day this vitriole and once again find myself wondering what is up with you?

I see your concern as I was questioning Dek's motives for joining this group. He had explained to me that his only reason for joining was because he was sent an invite and an explanation of what the groups "intentions" were. Although, it sounded convincingly legit...he has yet to had heard anything from the group or has made any plans with them. He has been away for RL issues. But, I do talk to him regulary and I can assure you he has not made a profit nor has he traded any land.

I showed facts. There are some ppl in SL who are running a MONOPOLY. I am sorry if that fact isn't clear by the above listed information.

These ppl can claim ignorance all they want, the facts are there they have their fingers in everyones pie. Why is this concept so hard to understand for some.

I find it ironic that I hear no profits, after all these months of hearing in the forums nothing but how much they profit. I find it ironc that they say there is a different meaning to a charters that are very straight forward. I find it very ironic that with all this very important information being release ppl choose to shoot the messenger.

One plot? I seem to recall months ago you had a parcel in Grigano I believe going for 180000and it was 512 meters or less...

I appreciate that. To be honest tho if these ppl are going to be the ones in charge of SL land I dont hold out much hope for LL. Especialy when they try to squirm out of cold hard facts. Its all public knowlege I just brought it to attention. As for my land if they want me out bad enough so be it. There isn't anything that I have done but defend what is immoral or just plain wrong in SL. I am just at a point today with my eyes wide open seriously wondering why the hell I keep fighting what appears to be a losing battle. If LL backs this crap, well I just dont know.

I completely understand your frustration because I too feel the same way about the majority of land barons. However, I am in love with one of the land barons (no secret) so out of loyalty I would like to note some of the good things I have seen him and his partner do.

1. Give out free land in raffles.
2. Only price land at the current land sale price.
3. Has took back land at the same price it was sold from newbs that didn't realize they had to upgrade their teir. Whereas I have seen other barons agree to buy back at more than what they sold.
4. When a buyer wants to buy a huge plot but doesn't quite have enough money, he will sell half and hold the other half until they can buy it.

5. When he realizes that a newb is interested in buying land from him and they haven't bought land before...he lets them know of their option to buy "first land".

These are just a few of the things that are good that I have seen from hanging out with a land baron. I'm not defending some of the tactics that have been used by others and it disturbs me greatly. Seeing how alot misunderstand my SL bf and catergorize him, I can't help but keep an open mind about others. Although some of them, I do know for a fact are dirty, evil little land barons and you know who you are.

I presented the facts. Its called a monopoly.

There are group members who now are in a position where they not only hold all the cards they know what hand your holding as well. They have status in being a land baron, they have officer status in land angels group, they have status in Neualtenburg which is trying to form a user supported gov't in sl. There are direct links with some members to the GOM. Zeppi and Januani are both in a group called Le Cadre whos charter is "The Power Structure"

When ever I see something that gets my attention I always think "what could happen in the worst case senerio" then I hope for the best.

I cannot in good faith take anyone word that they are in these groups and completly ignorant of its charter or turn a blind eye to what they know its officers are doing.

Its a monopoly, I cannot make it any plainer than that.

I ask that you start questioning things that are happening SL. It might be great right now but what happens next week?

Its your world, time to muster up some guts and take it back.

So your telling me the land angels are for a FACT making profit?
did you consider land tier cost and paying for that?

Is it a fact that peoples names in a group changes anything?
these people IF doing bad things, don't require a group to do so...

your main point is that land traders are gathering together to form a network of land traders that can have the resources nessessary to provide players with double their linden provided land at little to no additional cost?

and your against this?

the new players who own their land for landless land and trade it have plenty of choices I would think. They don't have to sell or trade. Any land aquired could be resold by them for more than their 512 was likely worth.

it is possible for the new player, the land trader, and LL to all make a profit and come out ahead, with none being screwed or evil?

but in reality there is no way to prove anything so all that is happening is accusations and nothing will get accomplished except this page shut down

I know plenty of people who trade land not in the group. The land traders compete with eachother which drives land prices down. The prices for land are lower then ever right now. Can you at least wait till the sky is falling before you run around squaking? I will agree that there is a potential for a monopoly but that would take their full cooperation and intent. Something that won't likely happen.
