Well if Cris won't say it, I will. Catherine. For the love of all things decent. Shut the fuck up and if you need your medication please take it, because you are seriously going off the deep end!

'Yes I hear myself very clearly, Catherine. You can quadruple quote me in the same post, what I said is still relevant - just because you wanted the thread to stop does not mean everyone must suddenly be silent. The conversation continued because other people posted things, as is the case with any thread. If you are finished with it, then leave."

Lol Omg
You
Jauani Wu
Schwanson Schlegel

Are the only ppl still posting, and pleae correct me if I am wrong but your all agreeing with each other. Its me that your not agreeing with. Even though all my questions were answered many pages before that. Again SAME MO for the groups you all call yours selves members of.

soooo YES PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD IT CAME TO A CONCLUSION LONG AGO.

What group am I a member of besides the Land Angels, Catherine? You keep speaking of modus operandi, yet I am not in any group that you can point to and criticise. As this thread continued, There were other posts that were responded to, not just your own. As Jauani said, the group has been well represented in spite of what you have tried to do.

Do not lock the thread, however, as this is not your personal forum to request threads to be locked, Catherine.

Man I have known you forever, this sucks. I thought I knew you, I was wrong. Do what ever you gotta do Cris. Just dont step on too many of us old friends in the process ok babe.

Have a good Holiday I am going to refuse to say anything more out of respect for the friendship I knew.

Catherine,

This is not a personal thing against you damnit, I just refuse to let you bash this group. I have not told you to shut up, and I have tried repeatedly to answer any concerns you have. Do not try the tactic now of making me out to be the bad person here. I did not realize friendship meant we had to be in lock step on opinions.

Well i've looked over the comments in this thread and the list of members in the land angels group, and i happen to know a few pretty well. One being Blue Burke, you talk about how much money they make or bring in from land sales but what about what they contribute? Being that i am good friends with him i know for a fact he's contributed a cool themepark, 2 public parks, and public sandboxes for everyone to enjoy, on his own dime as well as other projects. What gets me is people can just assume they know someone because of a group that they are apart of. As far as i know, the land angels are totally on the up and up and from what i know if Blue is apart of it then they've gotta be legit. I think we need to know people before we judge them. There are plenty of people who sale land making a huge profit and dont contribute anything back to sl AT ALL. Let's not post people in a negative way unless we are SURE that they are negative. Blue and plenty of others mentioned on that list are very well known as fair individuals when it comes to land sales. INDIVIDUALS so lets not judge them as a whole. :)

*kicks the horse to make sure it IS dead, burns it*

Can we please go on about our lives now? Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread.

Newbie land issues are real -- good to attempt to address em

Quite a thread (from crazy to sane to rapid degeneration again). Kudos to Blaze for some good posts, and to Midnight for trying to bridge the gap of understanding.

Speaking as a pretty new member, having a group get together to ease initial land issues is a good thing. it may work, it may not.

My first day in SL, the place looked like a wasteland of malls and discos. My first reaction was "why would I want to put down roots in this commercial mayhem, with a tiny plot surrounded by people I don't know and have no idea what they want to do with their land?"

Now I've put some roots down in a group-owned community with relatively flexible "zoning" rules that keep the area pleasant. It's a perfect example of LOCAL governance. I don't think anyone on this thread has pushed for universal governance, but allowing people to get together and make their own rules is a good thing. The creation of communities is natural and fundamentally human. Those who no longer want to participate in a community can leave; those who do not want to join can ignore it.

[A side note to Catherine, your fundamental concerns are valid but you do paint with an awfully broad brush in a lot of your messages. I don't think you mean to accuse, because you get upset when accused of accusing, but the tone and wording of your postings is probably the culprit.]

speaking of land issues... I thought eltee's post particularly illuminating
