From: Colette Meiji Promises , Promises Should I use a paddle or a riding crop on those people? I think on some of the thicker skulled ones I should mebe use an SUV. A paddle. a riding crop can be an instrument of pleasure. And I was not not promising, just offering.

From: Willow Zander De Ja VĂș: What is it and why does it happen?
Also, does lightening hit the ocean? if so why don't the fish get eletrocuted, is it something to do with salt?
(zOMG yes i'm bored and *waves* Jakeeee long time no speak <3) 1. I have a funny feeling this question has been asked before. Well my favorite theory about deja vu is that it is caused by a sudden gap in the time-space continuim. We only think time passes, really we pass through it, and time is stationary, so perhaps deja vu is just a recollection from a moment out of sequence. 2. Lightning actually rarely strikes water-the water does not heat up enough to retain the positive charge required to cause the strike. It does happen sometimes, mostly in tropical locations. Lighting does strike boats on the water, since it strikes the highest ground, and on an ocean, the boat is usually the highest ground. water is a great conductor, but really its not clear how quickley the current disperses in water. We don't see thousands of dead fish after every lighting strike, but there is really not much in the way of research to make a dertmination.

Dear Jake, why does the post office need another stamp increase? And where did they spend the money from the last stamp increase?

Jake, My understanding is that "Sea Level" is 0, and that elevations are computed from that. If seas rise due to global warming, does that mean that signs indicating elevation will need to be changed in order to remain accurate? Like "Boulder, Colorado - Elevation 5,490"? Inquiring minds want to know...

From: Becky Tardis Dear Jake, why does the post office need another stamp increase? And where did they spend the money from the last stamp increase? Because the post office is getting slower. The more time they spend doing nothing but sitting around enjoying the day, the more time postal workers meet in back alleys to have afternoon trysts (it really did happen!) well the more time they need to pay the carriers for delivering your letter. Thus more hours taken per delivery means higher delivery costs. But really what are you sending via post office, that Fed-ex or e-mail couldn't do better. Of course you can always ask "what can brown do for you?"

Global warming is a myth, the sea is not rising, and really who cares about elevation anyway? unless you are baking brownies and need to know when to use the high altitude recipie. The answer also might be that yes, the US GS periodically resurveys the world via satellite, and as soon as noone in your state has something better to do with a couple million bucks, all the signs will be fixed.

From: Helen Goff Jake, I am addicted to prims. I cannot get enough. What can I do to break this habit? Buy shoes. Pet Girl Bergman can show the way. Yeah you will still be additicted to prims (buy prim shoes of course. But being a shoeaholic is understandable, and you will get freebies and sympathy. Here: /112/12/106642/1.html

From: nimrod Yaffle Jake, how is this thread still alive? People keep asking me questions. Some people keep asking me good questions, others ask me fun questions. I always give a smart ass answer, but really you can ask me anything, sometimes I give the right answer. But I would like to thank all my readers, my designated spankers, and above all my devoted, and random questioners for making this thread so enduring. So ask away, any question you would like, about any topic from relationships to intelligent design, to politcs, to how to hack a tivo, or when NWN2 comes out.

From: nimrod Yaffle Anything? Well, I can get on my neighbor's wireless internet, but how do I see what they are up to? With a telescope, remote micro cameras, night vision devices and video surveilance drones. You can always go hide in the bushes and use your Mark I eyeballs. Also I suppose that a bit of digging on the internet might also provide you with a utility program that lest you remote view webcams, or local echo keystrokes from a key board. You might even be able to monitor website accessed (although there is tones of spyware that will do that). The real question is whetehr your neighboor is that interesting?

No. People who say that really enjoy the feeling they get when they give, so really, giving is all about getting.

(=p see its a question! ^^) I am doing well. I am slightly tired, but I won a pretty big motion this morning so I am jazzed. Basically I am as happy as a panda bear eating bamboo (as oppose to sloth bears eating macaque's).

Jake, have you ever been in a cockpit before? Have you ever seen a grown man naked? I have been in a cockpit. I even once owned a fighting cock, though I never entered him into a derby. Ultimately the poor guy got bit by a tree snake and died. No blodd of Heroes and such for my boy Salo. Yes I see a grown man naked every day when I get in the shower.

Dear Jake, can you please tell me why companies make it so very hard to get a new installation disk for your PDA if you happen to lose it?
