Find evidence..record, etc, and blow the whistle. Racism, plain and simple. It doesn't matter what use in the phrase 'we need to hire a minority/white/male/female/black/hispanic/homosexual/etc,' its still descrimination.

PONTIAC, Mich. — The city will end a practice designed to hire and promote more women and minorities in its fire department under an agreement with the Justice Department.

Under the agreement, the city will offer jobs, promotions, back pay or seniority to four white men deemed to have been unlawfully denied or delayed opportunities as a result of the policy. The agreement still needs final approval.

The agreement comes amid a debate in Michigan over a November anti-affirmative action ballot proposal.

The proposed amendment to the state constitution would ban government and university admissions programs from giving preferential treatment to groups or individuals based on their race, gender, color, ethnicity or national origin.

Under Pontiac's policy, one out of every three of the department's hires and promotions was to go to a woman or a minority.

The Justice Department began an investigation after Pontiac firefighter Arthur Frantz, who is white, filed a federal lawsuit in 2004, claiming he was passed up for promotion in favor of a Hispanic man.

Frantz also sued Pontiac in U.S. District Court in Detroit in 2002. The case is to go to trial in September.

Pontiac is about 20 miles northwest of Detroit.

You still haven't explained why it's a bad thing. I can't see how anyone could possibly object to a rally of Muslims decrying the crap done in their name. I think people have been patiently waiting to see exactly that.
